You're overthinking the face a bit I think! The face looks great, very expressive and conveys her emotions well enough for me to understand exactly why you might feel a certain way about finishing it, and to me the proportions look pretty much perfect. This is a good piece even as is, and I can tell a lot of thought went into it.

Here is a wip i probably will not finish because i didn't like how the face turned out and the drawing in itself remind me of time that are still too painfull

Anything you ever say can be recontextualized and spun against you using any slurry of buzzwords and immediately turn you into a social pariah at the drop of a hat. Anyone with a public facing persona has to be an optician of some kind, and everyone is. Exceptions are rare

The issue with this, that nobody seems to want to address, is that there has always been a high barrier of entry for artists who want to have their stories told. You've got two options in that regard: 1. Toil. Hours, days, years, entire decades just trying to get a project off of the ground, for a <1% chance that things work out in your favor. Many artists are neurodivergent and struggle with planning and execution, and will trap themselves in endless revision loops over minutae that your average consumer won't notice (I mean even as far as AI goes, the fruit love island stuff is actually horrible.) The reality of option 1 here is that only a fraction of a fraction of these artists will ever make it as artists. Even if they build a team of people who believe in the vision, you've essentially gotta hit Glitch Studios levels of attention, and this isn't even factoring in financial obligations that require most artists to simply give up their dream. 2. Sell out, and only a fraction of a fraction of artists will ever get this opportunity. To be successful as an artist without having God-tier levels of planning and execution skills, you have to get lucky enough to get picked up by a company on a project you may not care about and navigate company politics and decisionmaking that you may not necessarily agree with, such as, in the most glaring example, use of AI. The vast majority of companies now are hedging their bets on AI being some massive breakthrough that is going to trigger the next industrial revolution. It would be nice to believe that, eventually, hard work will pay off, regardless of how well one can navigate the difficulties of a world driven by capitalism. But capitalism doesn't incentivize hard work or merit in the way that capitalists insist it does. It is a series of systems that you've gotta ruthlessly game, usually at the expense of others and your soul, in order to find a modicum of success. That is why stuff like this blows up. It's simple, it's bright, and it tickles your nervous system in two different ways: short-form drama centric content, and pure, unadulterated spite for people who physically cannot resist signaling their superiority for not enjoying what common people do.

The most compelling example I've ever seen for how rage and moral posturing propels stuff like this to insane levels of fame. The people that watch this are cattle, so is everyone who is sharing it to insult them, so is everyone who is commenting on it (me)

Ik a lot of you aren't going to believe me, but I am a survivor of US government experimentation.

He: - Has had multiple instances of way delayed payments for commission - Failed to do his due diligence of researching an artist before committing to promoting them (he commissioned them and was going to boost their account like he does with others, but balked without even telling them after figuring out they were a NSFW artist.) - Multiple past employees who have had their work stolen from them without payment, especially early in his career - Consciously rips off memes/ideas from small content creators and cosplayers, not crediting them until called out - Has a long and recent history of hosting "fan competitions" for animations and such instead of just commissioning artists, essentially guaranteeing free animations/art for people desperate for exposure. There are also allegations of him being a racist bully but not gonna hold smth from high school against him when all of the above stuff there works well enough. I think it's great that there are artists being commissioned with him, but it's an obvious grift taking advantage of a community where everyone was already grasping for any bit of relevancy (and work) they can get before AI art hit the market. Just sleazy, not the literal devil
