Austin Kelly and Steph White need to adjust the offense to push for this. Right now, the offense is a children's game of hot potato where everybody is passing the ball back and forth with no real intention.
Everybody afraid to take the shot because of Steph's instruction to pass up a good shot in search of a great shot. Consequences:
✔️Even people with open looks are afraid to shoot
✔️Shot clock runs out
✔️Some poor soul (usually Kelsey) gets the ball thrown at them with half a second left on the shot clock and expected to score whether open or not. ✔️Every pass introduces an opportunity for a turnover because defenders figure out if they fill up the paint they can intercept passes
✔️Not every player on the team is good enough at passing to make this stupid offense work.

Caitlin has to see Kelsey like a running mate not an accessory.
They should be torturing teams relentlessly playing back forth and in triangles with AB. Like every game defenses should be spinning trying to predict who and how to guard.
Right now it’s your quarter, my quarter.

@Ser_Dweeb @godfavoursme242 Don’t hate me but I feel like they totally played off each other under Sides 🫣 I mean, they both cooked after all star break. AB too. This offense just feels stuck in the mud too often. 🤷🏼♀️ (and no, I don’t think Sides is better than White)

@godfavoursme242 Like idk how people don’t see it. These two should be constantly running actions to each other and around AB trying to pulverize teams.
People really think it’s perfectly fine for Kelsey to be as utilized as Sophie basically for 5 minute stretches.

This offense never reaching its ceiling until Caitlin WANTS to get Kelsey the ball consistently outside of just back cuts. Can KM demand the ball more? Sure. Can Steph run plays for her? Yes. The fact that if either doesn’t happen, she can go 5 mins without a touch is unreal.

@eb_wrestling @Ser_Dweeb Yesterday was the first time ever I thought CC had tunnel vision. It was super weird. I’ve never seen that from her before. I wasn’t a fan. Sure she scored 26. But it just wasn’t fun to watch.

@Ser_Dweeb It’s interesting because I think yesterday CC was trying to have a good game because her new shoes so she had tunnel vision. While I enjoy her getting to the rim and taking middies she’s gotta find a good balance if she going to have that usage rate
