It's just another way that institutions make you feel like you don't matter, that you walk out the door and no one notices or cares. That's not been true in my experience. I know I matter, to my students and to my colleagues, but the system is determined to convince me otherwise.

last week of teaching for the semester and for who knows how long for me. Been thinking of how precarity robs you of a good ending. Last March I did big goodbyes then felt silly when I ended up back at the job in Jan. Not really sure how to talk about it all this time.
