I agree but wouldn't say DoW-Ant lowers the importance of state laws. It just adds a new voice, like in The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady when you think the horns are already blaring every possible note and then a Spanish guitar comes in out of nowhere but the horns don't stop.

I can’t speak for @deanwball but for me the Anthropic-DOD fight has moved AI policy discussions up a register of stakes and importance. AI nationalization, not the details of this or that state law (as important as any particular one might be) is the frontier.
