@JohnMu that use free listings. We were looking into crawl budget as we have a really large eCommerce site with lots of URLs (particularly blog posts that typically provide more value then other pages) that are discovered, but not yet indexed. Is there anything we can do?

@JohnMu Why is google indexing a canonicalised organic free listing? Wouldn't this be poor use of crawl budget & duplicate content? checked with inurl:"srsltid=" Also if I block the paramater'd page in robots.txt will it affect the ability to show the ad in organic listings?

@JohnMu It's actually Google's auto-tagging parameter (?srsltid=) being indexed in the URL - rather strange! It could only have come from the free listings in the merchant feed as we don't link to those URLs anywhere internally (or externally). We have seen this happen for a lot of sites

@creva Also I take your point abour trailer tents etc - I was thinking solely of caravans when I wrote the piece.

@Kal_Group Indeed, but to headline a tweet with the words 'Your customers can't tow' is a misrepresentation! Apart from lighter caravans, it also ignores those who tow small camping trailers, the majority of trailer tents, etc. Unfortunately it's believed by many, though it's untrue.

@creva I would say provokative rather than a misrepresentation. And given that it has prompted this converation, I would say that is a step in the right direction! It's reflective of conversations that I have had, and I do believe it is something that needs to be addressed.

@creva @CoachmanCaravan Lighter caravans are certainly part of the answer, but there is a focus on adding as many luxuries as possible. Helping customers pass their test will give them a choice of ALL the caravans on the market, with all the accessories they want, rather than just a few.

@Kal_Group @CoachmanCaravan Not true! I think you're missing an important point on the B class driving licence - it allows you to drive a combination with a total weight of 3,500kg. A good answer is therefore lighter caravans! It's just possible to tow a 6 berth van if you choose carefully.
