But, my surgery is scheduled for the week after next and I just want to get it over with now. I'm getting incredible care and all will be fine but I'm not engaging with much beyond audiobooks & jigsaws tbh. Dr Eric on duty. Nurse Pickle wondering when lunch is. ❤️❤️

Someone please explain to me why the sound mixing on modern TV and film is so shite. Whispered dialogue, music that drowns everything out, and explosions that rip your ear drums apart. It's not me or the TV settings because old TV and movies are still fine.

British people food shopping list for a heatwave: - Twister lollies (and all the other lollies) - Quiche (Lorraine) - Assortment of “bits” (mini sausages, mini scotch eggs, various beige air fryable goods) - Coleslaw, potato salad (maybe a tub of beetroot cubes that you’ll inevitably drop down your white t-shirt) - Sausages, chicken drumsticks, burgers etc (if there’s any left) - Some sort of bright red marinade (will also drop down white t-shirt) - Baps/rolls/buns (or whatever you want to call them, don’t start) - Bag of salad leaves, with random decision made in shop as to whether you get “Italian Style”, “Bistro”, “Baby Leaf”, or some sort of iceberg and grated carrot fiasco (will throw away next week) - A cucumber and some tomatoes, obvs. It’s not a proper basic British salad without these sliced and dumped on the side of the plate (for proper British salad, do NOT mix them, they must remain in their own separate piles) - Some kind of horrible couscous pot type thing with raisins in it (that nobody will eat) - Dips (maybe some flatbreads that you’ll burn in the toaster) - Large bags of crisps to put into bowls - Strawberries - Ice (will leave in the car by mistake and find a bag of water in there later)

Why is Atlanta airport the busiest in the world? I would have assumed a capital city somewhere would have been.

@WarriorKing85 Ah ok. I was really surprised hearing it on a tv show earlier. I know there’s airlines based there too, but I kind of assumed it would be one in SE Asia.

Hey @spccohen, why is the framing of this piece you wrote victim-blaming the MOTHER? Whitney is portrayed as neglectful while reports of her fear and physical abuse are a footnote at the bottom of your piece. In no world is this responsible reporting of fatal domestic abuse.

It was a leg-out-of-the-duvet night last night. But no matter how warm it gets this summer, I *will* still be using a duvet. Even if I have to stick all of my limbs out of it, so just a small piece remains on top of my torso somewhere, the duvet stays 💪

Hayfever suffers - I’m taking cetirizine and loratadine daily and still struggling, is it just me? Is there anything that works or do I just have to suffer?
