@Amie_Just Women’s flag football is going to be the next big thing in college sports. Hot take, I know.

@AbbeyMastracco How was the sauce on the sliders? I assume it was mustard based since Mookie is from South Carolina.

New concessions at Citi Field this season: Mookie Wilson’s Legacy Catering smoked pulled chicken sandwiches, and Oreo and strawberry cheesecake dips. Did I like them all? Yes. Were all three items too sweet for my personal taste? Also, yes.

The Platter by Mookie Wilson (Hudson Club, $31) The Golden BBQ pulled chicken is the highlight, but the smoked sliced pork is dry and flavorless. Mac and cheese is in desperate need of seasoning. Buttered corn is great. They forgot the pickles. Forgettable, but filling 5.8/10

As a New Yorker growing up in the 1990s, I remember partying at Studio 54 with Lombardi, Trump and Clara Bow. These were anazing times for a kid like myself. Made Page Six once. They called me NYC’s new ‘It Kid’. Incredible memories.

Trump: "I find that people that win, it's much easier to lead when you're successful. Vince Lombardi was a very tough person. He was a violent guy, actually. I knew him. But he won and he got away with things because he won."

@AbbeyMastracco I didn’t watch because I’m not a Netflix guy and I’m not subbing for 1 game. Jon Miller on the radio was just fine for me.

My dad and his buddies resumed their tradition of going to Opening Day in San Francisco, something they’ve been doing since the 60s, but they went today because they said a night game is sacrilegious. I love how we just collectively decided not to count that Netflix game!

@Kelly_Crull DirecTV is picking up most all of the teams that have shifted their rights recently. No reason to think a deal won’t happen.

Clint Hurdle@ClintHurdle13

During one of the worst losing streaks of my career, our team president walked into my office. Keli McGregor. One of the best men I've ever known. He could have come to vent. To question my decisions. To ask hard questions. Instead, he said: "Cut to the chase, Clint. What's next?" I looked him in the eye and gave him two words: "Shower well." The Colorado Rockies were struggling badly that year. Pregame preparation was solid. Scout meetings, early work, attention to detail. All of it was there. But at game time, the tires were flat. I told Keli: the game did everything it could to us today. We just couldn't meet its demands. Now it was time to reset. "Shower well" means exactly this: • Watch the frustration circle down the drain • Shampoo, rinse, repeat and get the grime of today completely off your mind • Walk out clean, go home, and actually rest Leave it at the ballpark. The game is over. There's nothing left to solve tonight. Keli nodded. Asked if he could share it with the whole organization. I said sure. And then it hit me. This isn't just for baseball. Bad day at the office. Grumpy boss. Missed deadline. Traffic on the way home. You can carry all of that through your front door. Or you can shower well. I've never seen a single problem get better because someone dragged it home with them. The reset is a discipline. Same as preparation. Same as showing up. Either we win. Or we learn. The only real loss? When you don't take a single thing out of a hard day. So tonight, whatever kind of day it was, shower well. Tomorrow is a new at-bat. What does your reset look like? I'd love to hear it.
