@movementcoachkm @paulkelly8126 Anyone involved in the GAA at executive level are mostly people, who have nothing else for doing. People who would get the job done are not bothered to get involved as it would mean trying to deal with the aforementioned latchicos. Democracy where 2 idiots can out vote a genius
English

This is why the GAA is too democratic at some levels. No way should a gang of clubs be able to come together and in-do the work of an executive committee who no doubt worked with Kieran et al with a long term vision over a long time.
Bitterness exists within clubs and counties alike and so many teams, clubs and players cannot progress because of a few uneducated latchicos down the back of an AGM. It seems mad, but this is what upends so many teams and clubs.
98% of people involved in Gaelic Games have very little idea about what it takes to put together a long term high performance unit. They should have no input in these decisions.
Club delegation has a place, in club related activities and decisions.
I’m not saying either way if McGeeney is the man for the job, but one would believe him and the people around him will know when is the time to go. People like him are rare, and Armagh is a small football population.

Ratifications in Armagh are generally serene affairs but delegates are gearing up for what could be a heated night. rte.ie/sport/football…

@EwanMacKenna At last people are seeing what Roy Keane saw all those years ago.

Jason McAteer on Brian Kerr. "What have you won in the game? What have you done in the game?"
That would be the same Jason McAteer whose sole medal is a tier two play-off final victory on a man that took tiny Ireland to under-16 and under-18 European titles.

Jason McAteer talking about his former Ireland manager Brian Kerr on Bein Sports: "I'm looking at this fella thinking, what have you done in the game?!" I wonder what Brian Kerr makes of this

@EwanMacKenna @TheBlackrock_ You are kinda ruining it for them and there's no need. You don't agree with their business model fair enough, but don't be dragging them down just as they start. Or am I missing something?
English

Just found fifty quid down the sofa. Might hit up @theblackrock_ for a salad and some tap water. 😁

@paulreiddublin @HSELive Alot of brown nosing going on here. If I said he did a great job am I in line for a pay increase
English

It's with a heavy heart that I've advised the Chairman of @HSELive and the Minister for Health that I will step down as CEO later this year. Having led teams in the private, not for profit, central & local government and health sectors,I now want to spend some time with my family.

@CiDeely My father said it years ago, an organisation run by amateurs won't work. People are busier than ever now, but the vast majority who have plenty of time on their hands because they are not much good at anything else and they get high positions in GAA.

The incredible entertainment package on show in the Champions League and European Rugby Final versus the Gaelic football today is a constant reminder of what the alternative is for young people
We have a responsibility to take care of our games
So far, we are wasting it
