How can a public pain specialist just randomly discharge you after seeing him for over 15yrs when you see him for multiple issues that haven't magically disappeared . And now have to go back on a fresh waiting list to just been seen and that will take about 3 years and @HSELive

@RyanW_CFC The viral load is measured to see how well treatment is working. When the virus can no longer be found in blood, it's undetectable. Most people will have an undetectable viral load within 6 months of starting treatment. You can see more information here: www2.hse.ie/conditions/hiv…

I feel like @HSELive are just blatantly releasing advertisements with misinformation regarding HIV by saying “you can’t pass it on” even though that’s literally THE main way it’s transmitted. Through people/the transfer of bodily fluid, be that blood, semen or saliva. Why lie?

@RyanW_CFC Hi there, HIV is treated with antiretroviral therapy. The medicines stop the virus reproducing in the body, lets the immune system recover and stops further damage. Regular blood tests are part of treatment. These check your viral load - this is the amount of virus in your blood.

Completely frustrated trying to get the person on @HSELive to process my Organ Donation opt out on the phone. Kept insisting over and over again either I register with MyGov and bring down Digital Wallet or I needed to upload Facial Recognition .

Forcing citizens to use biometric digital IDs to exercise a legal medical choice is unacceptable. Where is my confirmation? @HSELive @DeptHealthGov #HSE #OrganDonation #DigitalID #Ireland #PatientRights

To get an MRI, I need a referral from either a GP, Consultant or registered Physiotherapist. The hospital ED couldn't give the referral despite being the one to suggest it after examining my knee & having an x-ray done. Why isn't the ED able to refer for an MRI? @HSELive

@AddressingLife These providers are better placed to organise imaging and manage ongoing treatment. With injuries like a knee problem where there’s no fracture or dislocation, MRIs are often not done immediately.

@AddressingLife For scans that aren’t urgent, MRIs are typically arranged as outpatient tests. This requires follow-up, coordination, and continuity of care, which EDs are not set up to provide. That’s why patients are often directed back to their GP, a consultant, or a physiotherapist.

@AddressingLife Hi Tracy, Emergency Departments (EDs) are focused on urgent, short-term care rather than ongoing management. Because of this, they usually have very limited access to MRI scans, and in some hospitals they may not be able to request them directly at all.

@HSELive Hi Peter, this was the appointment that appeared in the app. I got one for April 30th then 2 days beforehand it was rearranged to this. I thought that it was great the HSE is going paperless where it can so I don't have to worry about minding the letter it is on my phone

Loving life today, took a day off work to go to @UHW_Waterford for an Opthalmology appointment that was sent to me on my @HSELive app only to be told when I got there that I had no appointment and that staff in Waterford don't have access to the app...

@ManitouStultus @Independent_ie Plans are being developed to manage their care upon return to Ireland, including quarantine and active monitoring in line with ECDC guidance. Quarantine arrangements will be determined on a case-by-case basis and symptomatic individuals will be assessed and treated as required.

The number of people opting out of the HSE’s organ donation system is on the rise – with new figures showing that almost 62,000 people have added their names to the Opt-Out Register since the law changed last June: gript.ie/almost-62000-p…

Just had a good laugh. My daughter was at the Doctor's a while back to get insoles, and we just got the invoice. I rang them up to pay the €35 to the HSE, but they told me they don't accept card payments and asked if I have a Chequebook. Has anyone under 40 ever had a Chequebook

@HSELive I attended A&E last Wednesday evening and was admitted to the ward on Thursday. I have to compliment the staff @ConnollyED2 in Blanch for the way I have been treated. The nurses, doctors and staff work incredibly hard and provide great care and attention. Thank you 🙏
