My Jane Street interview story—first two rounds on the phone. Second round, the guy teaches me a complicated verbal numbers game. Then he asks how much I want to bet on it. “Nothing, I just learned the game so you’ll probably beat me,” I say. “You’re coming to New York,” he says.

Every conference, I have one fun goal that is completely unrelated to programming that helps me determine whether the event was successful on a personal level. This was an extremely successful event.
