BREAKING: Tesla has officially released FSD V14.3 I'm downloading it in my Model Y right now. Here's everything that's new: • Improved parking location pin prediction, now shown on a map with a P icon. • Increased decisiveness of parking spot selection and maneuvering. • Rewrote the Al compiler and runtime from the ground up with MLIR, resulting in 20% faster reaction time and improving model iteration speed. • Enhanced response to emergency vehicles, school buses, right-of-way violators, and other rare vehicles. • Mitigated unnecessary lane biasing and minor tailgating behaviors. • Improved handling of small animals by focusing RL training on harder examples and adding rewards for better proactive safety. • Improved traffic light handling at complex intersections with compound lights, curved roads, and yellow light stopping - driven by training on hard RL examples sourced from the Tesla fleet. • Upgraded the Reinforcement Learning (RL) stage of training the FSD neural network, resulting in improvements in a wide variety of driving scenarios. • Upgraded the neural network vision encoder, improving understanding in rare and low-visibility scenarios, strengthening 3D geometry understanding, and expanding traffic sign understanding. • Improved handling for rare and unusual objects extending, hanging, or leaning into the vehicle path by sourcing infrequent events from the fleet. • Improved handling of temporary system degradations by maintaining control and automatically recovering without driver intervention, reducing unnecessary disengagements. Upcoming Improvements: • Expand reasoning to all behaviors beyond destination handling. • Add pothole avoidance. • Improve driver monitoring system sensitivity with better eye gaze tracking, eye wear handling, and higher accuracy in variable lighting conditions.

This is the most important part of the Cybercab! This vehicle has certification labels which means it’s achieved compliance with all applicable U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) This is why they don’t need and can bypass regulatory waivers or the exemption that’s capped at 2500 Zoox was not able to get this safety certification so their only recourse was the exemption. Waymo still has not announced any Robotaxi first designed vehicle so can only use traditional cars
Cern Basher@CernBasher

No exemption needed!

@pshannonmooney @niccruzpatane No that's normal, levels out right below 90 %. My 2020 MY is at 88% of the original battery with 70k miles. The first year you see the most loss unfortunately.

Tesla has shared some tips in the Model Y Owners Manual to extend the lifespan of your vehicle’s battery. • Charge at Level 1 or Level 2 (e.g. wall outlets or Tesla Wall Chargers) whenever possible. Save the Supercharging for road trips or long drives. • For vehicles with a recommended daily charge limit of 80%, keep your daily charge limit at about 80. Save 100% for those times when you've got a long drive ahead of you. See Charge Settings. • Charge more frequently. Waiting until the Battery is low to charge can strain the Battery over time. • Avoid leaving the Battery at or near 0% or 100% for long periods of time whenever possible. • When you store Model Y for long periods of time, leave the Battery at around 50% charge and keep it plugged in if possible. Use the charge settings to maintain the 50% level.

Our AI4 chip is built with full fail-over redundancy. That means two computers run in parallel and keep checking each other, so if one has a problem, the other can take over instantly. This chip powers both FSD in our vehicles & @Tesla_Optimus

@garyblack00 Yes, Cybercabs purchased for personal use will be low . HOWEVER, almost all of the cybercabs will go into the fleet owned by Tesla or purchased in large quantities by fleet owning companies that utilize the robotaxi service. Also 3/Y will continue for personal vehicle usage.

@farzyness Farzad makes a good point regarding the limitations of producing a high number of vehicle without a steering wheel and pedals.. currently capped at 2500 with legislation in Congress aiming for 90,000. With that said, I don't think Tesla is secretly planning a modified cybercab.

Tesla will sell the Cybercab with steering wheel and pedals for a very simple reason: They cannot risk having an entire line down while they need as much cash as possible to build out Optimus & AI inference chips. To have the Unboxed line ONLY do Cybercab without steering wheel and pedals is SUICIDE. Whatever this new car is - Cybercab+, Cybercar, WHATEVER you want to call it - is not only likely. IT HAS TO HAPPEN. You are literally allowing REGULATORS to dictate YOUR ABILITY to raise cash TO FUND THE NEXT 20 YEARS OF THE COMPANY. If regulators do not keep up with Tesla's ability to ramp Cybercab to 2m+ per year, TESLA IS FOREGOING the ability to move AS FAST AS POSSIBLE on bots and AI chips. WHY ON EARTH WOULD ELON AND TESLA LEAVE IT UP TO REGULATORS TO DICTATE HOW FAST THEY CAN RAMP CYBERCAB. WHY WOULD YOU ALLOW REGULATORS TO TRAP BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN A PRODUCTION LINE WHEN THAT CASH CAN BE DEPLOYED TO BUILD AI CHIPS FOR INFERENCE COMPUTE IN SPACE. OR IN MILLIONS OF TESLA BOTS. USE YOUR BRAIN PEOPLE.

@wholemars @farzyness It's highly likely Sam Altman did not have the 50 million during this time period, his net worth in 2015 is estimated in the tens of millions, which is why Elon's funding was so important to Open AI.

@farzyness that would have been the honest and simple thing to do. $50 million seems like such a small amount in today’s terms!

Sam and Greg should've just given Elon his money back and went for-profit back when it became obvious non-profit was a dead end. Should've just said "Listen Elon, we want to go our own way. We don't want you to control it. We want to do it. He's your money back." Forget what you think of any party. This would've been the morally right thing to do - AND the smart business thing to do. Then OpenAI would've been able to raise money at will with 0 worries and their chance of going for-profit would've been significantly higher. Continuing to take his money while lying about their long-term intention of crowding him out was a fatal error. I get that business dealing can be nasty and brutal, but this is just such a terrible strategic error. This gives Elon a gigantic leg up on winning the lawsuit IMO. Which means that if he succeeds, OpenAI's ability to go for-profit is dead. Which means that investor returns for a non-profit are capped. Which means that no investor would ever choose to fund OpenAI when every other hyperscaler can give them multiples of ROI on their investments. For such an insanely capital-intensive business like AI, this means that OpenAI's lifeline - money to purchase compute - is essentially gone.

Holy fucking crash out! Are you seriously posting about my children at 7am? Keep repeating your dumb ass boomer shine box line. I’m not the one who got ordered to go lie to the public and said yes sir. Scared? Come see me bitch. I will end your career and you know it. Run away little girl.
Dan Bongino@dbongino

Your family and kids must be ecstatic that their last name is Smith, so they can blend in with the millions of other Smiths out there and pretend they don’t know you. Imagine being dumb enough to post what you just did publicly and then pretend it isn’t copium. You’re scared. I can smell you from here. Now, go get your shine box, like I told you.
