Stranger Than Heaven has me pretty excited 5 different cities across 5 distinct eras is such a bold and ambitious concept. Knowing it’s coming from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio just makes it even better. Can’t wait to see how the story and world evolve through each timeline. Really looking forward to playing it!

Mega Man shares a similar thing with Metal Gear, where you have multiple protagonists that are very similar to each other and share the same title, but they're all different characters that exist in the same universe.

A friend asked me that with everything happen to the story of Yakuza lately, why am I still have faith in Stranger Than Heaven.
I think that it is because STH is a new story, there is no expectation and baggage to be worry of (I.e no bullshit retcon dead, no Daidoji)

@dallin1016 @LandiLodge not saying its a bad thing, but just like you said they need a balance which they haven't done. for like 10+ years they focus WAY too much on getting a new audience and catering to western audience but that ignores why FF is so popular in the first place.

@dallin1016 @LandiLodge Just recently they were complaining that kids don't play Final Fantasy. Square doesn't know what they want. They keep trying to do new things with the franchise to gain new audience while ignoring what the fans like and what makes FF so enjoyable.
