@roegamaniac I like that idea, tbh. Another suggestion: get rid of the Global cool down, have the combos be an auto attack at a lower potency, have other abilities with their own cooldown timers but they’re quick cooldowns so the combat feels rapid paced

What if FFXIV combat in 8.0 is faster 123 combo condensed into one button like in PVP, allowing the use of more oGCD skills and adding a sense of player expression that so many dudes want, even though, But isn’t really built around expression, its more of learning a dance routine

@DDFF_EN Its a very fun game but the levels of p2w ruins any competitive skill the game can have. Even level 100 UR is not the cap and there is M levels. Either make the single player more robust or tone down how insane the p2w can be imo. I want this game to survive but it wont like this

📢Producer Message Greetings everyone! I'm Matsumoto P, the producer of DISSIDIA DUELLUM FINAL FANTASY! It's been great seeing so many of you enjoying the game since the official launch and I wanted to take the time to thank you all for playing. And, for those of you out there that may not have a lot of experience with PvP games or feel that competitive games like DDFF can be overwhelming, I'd say try not to worry about it too much and take your time trying to learn the game and have fun! In DDFF, you can find "Challenges", which is a solo-play mode where you can learn to control your character and other aspects of the game. You can also toggle the "Auto" feature in battle so your character will move automatically, freeing you up to focus on using your abilities at the perfect time! These are just some ways to help ease you into the game, so try them out if you can. There are all sorts of players in DDFF, whether they're PvP pros or completely new to competitive games. We want everyone to have fun and enjoy their time, so we hope you'll be respectful to your fellow Warriors out there on the battlefield. Together we will continue to make DDFF into a game we will all love and enjoy playing. From myself and the entire team, thank you very much for taking your time to play DDFF, and we hope you have many hours of fun ahead!

@sugarfreecube @envinyon Exactly. “YOU DIDN’T PLAY IT AT LAUNCH! YOU’RE WRONG!” I mean, I play it now, see groups of ppl in there enjoying it, and I look forward to playing it. I don’t care if it had problems when it launched. It’s fun, enjoyable, and repeatable now.

@envinyon A Reply: "Eureka is actually really fun!" OP: "YOU DIDN'T PLAY IT WHEN SB CAME OUT!!" Like, isn't it a good thing when something is improved on over time? Even VC dungeons and DDs got improved on and people enjoy them more... I don't understand their issue.

some people hate actually having to play the game at all, and its why I constantly say that the developers need to be careful with feedback trying to make content for people that only ever complain is gonna result in a worse game for everyone

People hated Eureka though. A lot of the reasons content doesn't stick is because most players don't wanna grind. People hated the Zodiac books from ARR. People hated that relics were tied to Eureka. People hated that Bozja is still required for relic steps.

There's even people who only run deep dungeons and that's their main thing in the game. I've probably made well over 100 mil gil at this point from just doing the weekly

Criterion was great fun; safe to say the encounters are up to the standard of the Endwalker Criterions. It's still some of FFXIV's best battle content

@LuluGamingDK @XenosysVex Go get a skyscale mount or legendary item in GW2 or complete some endgame content in FFXI and then come and talk about what grinding content is. Hell, even ARR Relics are what I would call “grinding”.

@XenosysVex I'm actually forced to play the game and grind more than I would like to. So i'm gonna throw a fit and say that it's not rewarding. God forbid you actually have to play a game and put in some grinding to get what you want out of it And not on the first try.

SE's inability to reward its player base properly is baffling. This content is fun, but the rewards are an absolute joke and embarrassing. This is very disappointing on multiple levels not just relating to Criterion but also SE's mindset on what they consider rewards.

@Fairytaleinf @XenosysVex I only half agree with you. Almost all content and rewards are geared towards either raiders or a subset of the player base I call “vibers”. Not even necessarily casually playing the game, but just vibing in cities, rp venues, or dungeon carries

@amorphous714 @BepsisZero @Sindalf Having fun and overcoming a challenge IS a good thing, but the issue is that once that challenge is overcome, you’re left going “ok, that’s done. What now”. Rewards or having something to work towards incentivizes replayability. This content will be dead in a couple of months

I don't think rewards matter in a vertical progression mmo. It's all so pointless since it gets replaced so quickly. The content being good enough on its own is enough for me.

@XIV_Mika I don’t get on Twitter lol. I literally hopped on just to see what the current dialogue and discourse was around this particular patch. I agree there’s no way to listen to and implement changes from feedback from every demographic, but you can’t get an overall general consensus

Not to say that the game is perfect and that good criticism and suggestions aren't valuable, but people don't understand how much of a bubble xiv Twitter really is lol because if it actually represented the community, the game is only a dress up game with occasional hard content.
