It's conservative in the classical Burkean sense of moral forthrightness, rural romanticism and monarchism, which barely exists in American political thought. Tolkien would not think seed oils are making us trans.

This is getting some unfair dunking.
The article isn’t asking “How can they possible survive????”
It’s just asking, “What are their lives like?”
And then it tells us.
Nowhere in the article does the article pretend they’re struggling. They have to make some budget choices in order to save 10k a month, but that’s just them showing common sense.
That they call themselves “middle class” is a stretch. I’d call them upper-middle. If they keep saving 10k a month, they can start moving into upper class in a decade or so.

A child living with a stepparent, statistically, increases their odds of being sexually abused 40 times over. Grim stuff!

The fact is that biological parents very rarely rape their children. It does happen, and that’s terrible and shouldn’t be ignored, but statistically it’s vanishingly rare.
If a child is raped by a household member, it’s almost certainly a non-relative or a more distant relation.

“The nuclear family allows for greater perpetration of sexual abuse” is a testable claim.
What’s more likely, that a child is raped by a parent in a nuclear household, or by an extended family member (uncle, cousin, etc.) in a traditional household?
(Hint: It’s not even close.)
