@Lovetosail @JMeddings You get benefits with 0.42 FTE and above. UNA negotiated more 1.0 FTE. a
Many nurses that try and balance work and personal life appreciate opportunity to not be full time and have flexibility. You obviously aren’t in the system as your points and blaming are misguided.
English

@JMeddings The origin was very good, but failure in recent decades. I put the blame squarely on the shoulders of AHS making the dubious decision to stop hiring nurses in full-time positions and instead only giving them 0.6 positions, meaning no benefits. Managed into Dysfunction

Great, but complicated article. Let me add some emphasis to the main point.
The original design of our health system was similar to other countries and very good.
In it government (A Health) provided vision and AHS was to manage the process. /1

@kissel_katie Start writing your book. So many stories buried in those scrubs! ❤️
English

Tossed worn scrubs today and hubby commented “many lives saved in those.” Not usually one to reflect on emotion attached to discarded possessions, but what an opportunity. Lives saved and lost, journeys shared with patients and families. What a privilege. #icunurse
