RECAP: -The U.S. and Iran traded fire across the Gulf again, and Iran missed on everything. CENTCOM says it downed three Iranian drones and shot down missiles fired at Bahrain and Kuwait, then hit back at a control station on Qeshm Island. Iran claimed it struck the U.S. Fifth Fleet HQ. CENTCOM called that "FALSE." -Oil ticked up more than 1% on the clash, with Brent near $97, as the stalled talks keep a floor under prices. -In deep-blue Los Angeles, Trump-endorsed reality star Spencer Pratt surged into a shock second place in the mayor's race, on track to force Karen Bass into a November runoff. -And "60 Minutes" legend Scott Pelley was fired from CBS after telling new boss Bari Weiss to her face that she's "murdering" the show.

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 Oil climbed overnight as the latest U.S.-Iran clash rattled the Gulf again. Crude rose more than 1 percent in early Wednesday trading after U.S. strikes on Iran's Qeshm Island and Iranian missiles and drones launched toward Kuwait and Bahrain, with no breakthrough in the stalled talks. Brent rose to $97.05 a barrel, while WTI hit $94.97. The pattern is now mechanical. Every exchange of fire near Hormuz nudges prices higher, and with negotiations frozen and the strait still contested, oil has nowhere to drift but up. The war's economic toll keeps ticking even during the so-called ceasefire. Source: WSJ
