@deathandsaints @BladerAmaan Remember when Liu died to quan chi and Shang tsung in mk deadly alliance. Surely the chosen one could defeat them 2 if he is as strong as you say. What about the time in MK 11 where kitana beat shao kahn. Liu kang would have died at the end of MK9 if Raiden didn’t intervene.

@SteveRudzinski Every time I watch the 95 movie I just feel like skipping most of the kitana stuff and the ending. I’m there to watch aura moments, johnny vs scorpion and reptile vs Liu kang. Kano vs Sony and Johnny vs goro are very underwhelming. Subzero dies to his own power which annoyed me.

I actually did really enjoy Mortal Kombat 2, but it makes the 2021 film even more of a waste of time since this should have just been the first. Glad they juat dropped the dumb tattoo thing. 95 is still my fav but this is second place.

@BruskPoet He was NOT the highlight! We didn't get ONE bicycle kick or flying kick. All he did was throw fire balls. Katana, Shao Kahn & Kung Lao were the highlights.

Liu Kang should absolutely be the main character in the next Mortal Kombat movie. He was a definite highlight in Mortal Kombat 2. Not only has Ludi Lin proved that he has what it takes to lead but the story they seem to be telling definitely calls for Liu Kang to be the main star. Liu Kang is the main character of the franchise so his time is definitely due and I think they’re cooking up something special that we will all like. Liu Kang has always been my favorite. I’m hoping for the best and so far I haven’t been disappointed.

@AlternateUrge @prowelshguy Out of the MK movies… and this is a niche take. I think jax vs subzero is my favourite fight battling with the reptile vs Liu fight in 95. I really liked subzero vs scorpion aswell. I really didn’t like how dirty subzero was done in 95. Scorp vs cage got good in the netherealm.

@RohlintheWretch @QTRBlackGarrett I respect your opinion so its no worries. And look im not gonna say that the movie was perfect. I think Instead of johnny losing. He wins. Add in goro. Kitana changes perspectives instead and at the end when liu kang wins the tournament. Kitana can turn on shao when he cheats.

I stopped playing after the second arcade game. I was hoping I was going to get something like the OG and I think a lot of people were in my camp. I understand the loss to Kitana, I just didn’t like it. I understood the plot of the whole movie about 5 seconds in, I just didn’t like where it took me. You obviously know more about the video games and saw more it the trailer, perhaps because I saw what I wanted to see.

Man, Liu Kang's story really should have been the core of Mortal Kombat II. The Best fight and center piece of the movie was so limited.

@RohlintheWretch @QTRBlackGarrett Well I am sorry if you felt it was going to be only about johnny cage. They spoiled a lot in the promos for me unfortuanately. They don't always kill in this series. For example. In MK9 only bi han dies in the tournament. Johnny losing made him wake up and change his perspective.

@LConnor2250 @QTRBlackGarrett Over half that trailer was Cage. And people don’t always die. Cage lost and didn’t die. Neither did Jade. Practically everyone I knew was expecting a Johnny Cage movie and felt it was a rug pull.

@LConnor2250 @QTRBlackGarrett Fact of the matter: it was bait and switch. The preview leads you to believe it is all about Cage and it isn’t. And the main focus should have been Kang, Blade and Cage like the original.

@LConnor2250 @THECRIMESAGA The problem is in this movie, the Bi-Han/Scorpion stuff took place 400 years ago. Bi-Han is only still alive because of Shang Tsung’s magic. Even if Kuai Liang existed in this timeline, there’s no way he’d be alive in present day, unless they make him not Bi-Han’s brother.

making bi-han into a scary ancient warrior was pretty cool but also stupid because it makes adapting kuai liang (the better sub-zero) kind of impossible

@FGC_kinge yeah its annoying. Sometimes you wish they were done better. But I guess ive gotten used to it. Like i get where people are coming from too. Sindell defeated cetrion in mk11 but also got defeated by cassie cage as a revenant in MKX.
