Alisson Becker is the best goalkeeper in the world so obviously everybody will be a drop-off after him.
But MARMITE has made no obvious blunders and should not be targeted just because he doesn't play like Maradona.

Mamardashvili is such a drop off from Alisson on the ball and I’m gonna be real - it’s gonna take a humongous amount of development to get him to a decent standard in terms of distribution let alone be one of the best in the world at it. Very confused what Liverpool recruitment team were thinking going for him especially based on the profile of keepers they’ve had on their books previously.

@Micks2B Of course that’s their intention, they’d love to see it work out. There’s been no evidence of things looking like they could work out though. So if this is indeed true, then that is truly a grim thought.

That’s fair. But it shouldn’t take us being 2-0 already in the tie to have a style of play. It feels similar to saying “well we finished the game strong” when it was really just desperately throwing chiesa on and lumping bodies forward. It’s jarring at this rate. Have a good night

@LFCpat511 I’ve said all these criticisms myself this season, I don’t need telling. I could see a style of play tonight though and like I said, it has to sustain over the remainder or there’s zero case to stick.

PSG deservedly through but Liverpool gave everything tonight and if they’d scored when on top, who knows? Still, that was a performance fans can get behind and, unlike many of them this season, suggested something is being built during this season. Key now to finish it strongly.

@davidlynchlfc But with Klopp you could live with it because you know they had a style of play and that they were gonna run the hard yards. We’re in month 9 of this season and there’s still no cohesion. Players not on the same page. There’s no style of play. That’s incredibly alarming.

@LFCpat511 Could find a run of results like this in Klopp’s worst seasons. The key was he always finished well and provided a foundation - Slot has to do that or nobody’s going to want to see more.

Arne got it so badly wrong in both legs. Like he has in many games this season. Theres no project here, theres no signs of where this is going. Arne simply doesnt know how to use this group of players, and hes a limited coach who is easily outthought. #LFC

I’ve defended Wirtz plenty, but he does need to do more when he gets the ball. I thought he’d started to find his rhythm and his influence, but that’s slipped more and more.
He has the talent, but confidence seems really low.
