This LOTR sequel sounds atrocious but Stephen Colbert speaks Elvish and getting him to write it is one notch below getting a credentialed Tolkien scholar to do it.

Then it might be good! Open to that, but again, I have no reason to take it on good faith at this point. No fantasy show/movie adaptation can be taken on good faith anymore. We expect the dregs and can only be shocked by successes. It isn’t pessimism, either, it’s just all previous experiences.

I don’t view them that way, I’m saying he has given no indication that he won’t (which I do need, given all the other shit presented). I fully expect one of the comedians who spent the last decade making their social currency off of “orange man bad” to have devolved, and this is reasonable to believe.

It's a single author's work, it's not the early Roman Republic lol. "Scholarship" in this is a pretty limited scope
And he is *literally* a professional show writer, just historically comedy.

@BosRican The army specifically was the only one that had a cap at 35, so this actually puts them with the other branches. The recruiters tend to like older recruits anyway (more motivated, able to ship more quickly, and reenlist after their first contract).
