Per @WillSammon, the Mets and Jorge Polanco are in agreement on a contract. @JeffPassan reports that the deal is for two years and $40 million. Polanco, 32, hit .265 with 26 home runs for the Mariners last season.

Unless this is a deGrom situation where Diaz simply wanted out of NY, how can you let the best closer in baseball walk on a 3 year deal for essentially the same money Devin Williams got???? But, at least we got a Casino this offseason.
