@LilaCorpsegrave Gattsuo (the boss) moves faster, hits harder, and relentlessly aggros you throughout the fight and right when you think you've gotten the hang of things the boss randomly pops the super armor granting mechanic (which it can charge faster than you) and now can ignore everything

I hate JRPGs specifically because most of them are actually pretty lacking in strategy. You just click optimal attack and win most of the time.

I have noticed that most Westerners hate JRPGs and turn-based combat. This makes sense. JRPGs are for the Japanese, so it requires you to have the intelligence of an average Japanese man to enjoy them, which we all know Westerners are not even close to having.

Once we get to the things I care about, the gameplay aspects, the game falls apart, and the story tends to collapse under enough examination too.

Yeah this is just ridiculous. Theres nothing wrong with this scene or really anything else visuals-wise in Echoes SoV.
Maybe I’m biased since it’s my favorite, but I really don’t understand why the modern FE community tries to bludgeon this game at every turn.
Sure the maps could have been better, but it’s still a really great Fire Emblem when all things are taken into account.
