Closure Notice – Operations Update To our valued community, It is with much regret that the Linear Operations Team now write to advise you to leave the project. Many of us have worked alongside you for nearly five years, and we share in the disappointment this brings. While this outcome was not what anyone hoped for, we remain committed to supporting all users during this transition, within the boundaries of the instructions provided by the project’s owners and investors. Below you’ll find the essential details to help you safely exit your positions, along with the key dates to be aware of. If you need assistance, support remains available until the closure date—primarily via our Telegram group, and secondarily on Discord. Exit Your Positions We strongly recommend that all users exit their positions as soon as possible. Liquidity will become increasingly limited over time. Additionally, once Binance completes the delisting of the LINA token, market access may be further reduced. Shutdown Timeline Final Closure: Weds, 2 April 2025 at 12:00 PM UTC At this time, the Linear suite of dApps will go offline, except for a Burn and Unstake Portal, which will remain available to: - Unstake tokens from staking and exit - Burn LUSD, if necessary, to clear debt and enable unstaking Immediate Actions to Take Locked Staking Rewards All remaining locked and vesting rewards (originally scheduled to vest over the next 12 months) have been moved to your staked balance. These can now be unstaked and withdrawn, subject to your debt position. Builder Repay any outstanding Builder debt and unstake any collateral (LINA or other tokens). Synthetic Exchange Remaining liquid assets should be converted to LUSD via the Synthetic Exchange, and then sold on PancakeSwap. Terminal prices for all liquid assets have already been applied. Only conversions into LUSD are now supported. Bridge The ETH/BSC and BSC/ETH bridges for LINA and LUSD will close permanently at shutdown. No cross-chain transfers will be possible after this point. Liquidator The Liquidator has already been switched off Marketplace The Marketplace has already been closed. No active listings remain, aside from those previously managed by the team. PerpDEX The PerpDEX will be shut down at the closure time. All users must exit positions and withdraw funds well in advance to avoid potential loss. Community Channels Telegram and Discord will remain open until the shutdown date, after which the chat functionality will be disabled. Thank you for being part of the Linear Finance journey. Notice of Closure After careful consideration, Linear Finance has made the difficult decision to cease operations. Despite our ongoing efforts to innovate and build throughout the years, the project has struggled to generate sustainable returns. Outside of a brief period of profitability during our initial launch in 2019/20, Linear Finance has faced increasing financial challenges. The project has been funded through a combination of personal contributions from the project owner and token liquidations. Unfortunately, this model is no longer viable. The recent decision by Binance to delist the LINA token accelerated these challenges, resulting in a 65% reduction in market capitalization and a significant loss of the remaining operational runway. As a result, the project’s key stakeholders have made the collective decision to wind down and have already exited their positions. Our Operations Team will be in touch shortly with clear timelines and step-by-step instructions for users with active positions across our dApps. Today, @binance delisted $AERGO, $AST, $BURGER, $COMBO, and $LINA — then moments later posted: “Binance values community input and recognizes that it is a key driving force in the course of our development. We recently introduced two community co-governance listing mechanisms, Vote to List and Vote to Delist, as part of our efforts to enhance our listing governance and give the community a greater voice.” binance.com/en/support/ann… Yet there was no vote, no warning, and zero transparency. Linear Finance Responds to Binance's LINA Delisting Today, we at Linear Finance were caught completely off guard by Binance’s decision to delist LINA effective March 28th. Like many others, we first learned of this development via an official blog post, with no prior warning or heads-up. Binance, with whom we've been in active discussion, confirmed that the decision was made at the highest levels. For a project that prides itself on development and innovation specially in these last quarters, this approach is deeply disappointing. Yet the reality remains: a significant portion of Linear Finance’s trading volume is generated on a variety of platforms. LINA is actively traded on Bitget, Mexc, Kucoin, Gate.io, HTX, and many other exchanges, and you can also access our perpetual contracts on Kraken, Phemex, and more. This incident, instead of derailing our plans, only reinforces our commitment to innovation and resilience. We remain steadfast in our mission to expand and improve our ecosystem and continue with our roadmap, ensuring that Linear Finance continues to grow and evolve regardless of a particular exchange decision. Moreover, we will remain focused upon our new AI-focused roadmap, which will drive the next phase.
