If you’re Texas Tech and you know this roster is a QB away from competing at a national scale, you go find/lure a portal quarterback. The 6-game HC suspension and fine are well worth it and I don’t think you even think twice. Could just hinge on Hammond’s recovery, but if you want to leave no doubt someone else is coming in and the repercussions are a blip at the end of the year when you go B2B in the Big 12.
