Cade is the son of former Alabama QB John David Phillips and the nephew of former Alabama QB Brodie Croyle. He was heavily recruited by Alabama out of high school but ultimately chose Tennessee. In three seasons, he played in 61 games with nine starts. Phillips averaged 3.7 PPG, 3.1 RPG, and 1.2 BPG in 13.4 MPG. His role was expected to increase this season, but a season-ending shoulder injury prevented that from happening. It will be interesting to see if Alabama reaches out to Phillips or not this offseason.
