Amazing footage of badgers in a Cardiff garden. This one definitely has a peanut habit!! Who would have thought these lovely animals were so agile? @IoloWilliams2@BBCSpringwatch
What do you do when all your lettuces are ready at once and there's no time to share them before the holidays? You freeze them! Year 4 enjoyed processing their salad leaves and plan to make soup in the autumn term. Watch this space! 🥬@RHSSchools@ediblecardiff@GrowCardiff
Beekeeping Club checking the colonies, especially the nucs to see how they're building up. One queen spotted but signs that all are present!! @welshbee@SFarms_Gardens
Year 6 enjoyed their pond dipping session yesterday finding palmate newts, backswimmers and caddis fly larvae. The highlight was watching a dragonfly nymph shed its skin! @PondDip@IoloWilliams2
Some fantastic work by Year 6 using their woodworking skills to erect some additional fox proof fencing in the chickens' enclosure @SFarms_Gardens@GrowCardiff@BHWTOfficial
Not sure who enjoyed their homegrown treats the most - the children with their microgreens or tge chickens with their wheatgrass trays. Either way, there wasn't a lot left!! @BHWTOfficial@RHSSchools@SFarms_Gardens@GrowCardiff
It was action stations for beekeeping club this morning dealing with their first swarm. After a fair bit of bramble pruning we were confident that the queen was in the box @welshbee@SFarms_Gardens
Year 1 know how much our chickens love treats so today we've been sowing wheat and curly kale for them and also some microgreens in the classroom which we can enjoy! #RHSBigSeedSow@BHWTOfficial@GrowCardiff@RHSSchools
