I spoke recently to a consultant who was spending a large part of their week writing letters and dealing with admin as they had no support staff. Not a great use of their time. NHS knows the cost of everything and value of nothing.

From this end, it also appears true. We have lots of english-accented junior doctors- and whenever I hear one I relax- knowing this person will be hard working, well trained and experienced. UK seems to be a great medical school.
