@logicrafting @ggreenwald @CivicMindedTurd @jbouie I agree but right now with incidents like we just saw it is more a left problem because of its leaders directly supporting violence against US citizens it disagrees with. Your other points are completely valid but I am asking for something else.

When a white supremacist gunned down 10 black people in a Buffalo supermarket in 2022, the NYT's @Jbouie and other liberals blamed mainstream conservatives for "inspiring" the anti-immigration views in whose name that shooter killed. Bouie claimed in the NYT that the killer's manifesto was "virtually indistinguishable from mainstream Republican rhetoric," and conservatives thus bear blame. Liberals wanted Jack Smith to prosecute Trump for the violence on January 6 based on this same theory: that Trump "inspired" the January 6 violence because his speech "inspired" that violence and they acted in the name of Trump's repeated claim that the 2020 election was stolen. The Right also embraces this theory, as they're doing now: blaming liberals and Trump critics for last night's WHCD's shooter because the would-be assassin's manifesto shows he acted in the name of common anti-Trump sentiments (ironically, last night's shooter actually did read and liked many liberal statements, including those of Jamelle Bouie, Wil Stancil and other partisan liberal luminaries). All of this is dumb. Words are not violence. You're not responsible for someone's violent acts because they share some or even all of your views. The Supreme Court has repeatedly said that preserving the distinction between words and violence is vital for basic conceptions of free speech (see Claiborne v. NAACP (1982). You allowed to express opposition to open borders, and you're allowed to criticize the American President, even harshly, without being held responsible if some lunatic uses violence in the name of your views. Bouie in 2022:

@Localtuna @ggreenwald @CivicMindedTurd @jbouie These guys are interviewed on the news all the time. They all support state terrorism -- what is more violent than that? I can get you clips if you like. Just thought it was obvious to everyone.

Again not the same thing as plenty of left leaders have done violence. Obama used so many drone attacks on a grand scale. IT is a false equivalency and you know it. Give me specific accounts of Conservative leaders advocating for violence against US liberals on a grand scale.

You don't get to describe your side's views in the most anodyne and benign way possible, and the other side's in the most extremist and enraged possible, in order to argue that your side deserves immunity from this blame standard and their side doesn't. Many on the Right argue far beyond the mere claim that "we should enforce our immigration laws."

Has the US or Trump done anything right or is the US military just a bunch of morons hitting random buttons? I haven‘t seen one post from you that has even the slightest hint the US can do anything right. Reading your posts make it seem the US has lost 1000s of lives and the military is about to collapse and Iran is about to become a world superpower.

Remember when Trump said he "PROHIBITED" Israel from bombing Lebanon, only for Israel to laugh at him and bomb Lebanon the next day? That was about 10 days ago. Trump's only response was to post a Truth Social about how Israel is a wonderful ally and great country. Israel now:

I don’t hate slayton as much as most here but the giants seem to be gearing up for a lot of 12 and 21personnel. And I see fields on the field a lot for blocking As well as red zone. Doesn’t Leave many snaps for any WR not named Nabers. Likely will probably be the #2 receiver.

No. The finances make moving on from Slayton nearly impossible. I also don’t think Slayton is as bad as the perception. Already shared my bold take that he’ll be the No. 2 WR this season
James Hickey@jimmythehick11

@DDuggan21 Would you swap out OBJ for Slayton (trade/cut)?

@JeffreyBatt18 @JordanRaanan Giants will use 12 and 21 personnel almost all the time. Only need 2. Get. Better one next year when they have money.

The Giants are drafting CB Colton Hood with the 37th overall pick in the second round. Cornerback was a position of major need. New York doesn't have another Day 2 pick. So if they get interior DL it will be on Saturday, barring an unlikely trade of Kayvon Thibodeaux.

It’s wearisome to have to say this again, but THERE WAS NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS PROGRAM, thus he did not save us from one. By his own accounting, the three facilities were buried under rubble in 2025, and the president himself declares that our satellites have been watching it ever since, and it has not been disturbed. Therefore, it is a physical impossibility for Iran to have been two weeks away from building a nuclear bomb, as he claimed as the imminent threat which required war. By the president’s own words, he exposes that there was no rational or just cause for this war, and therefore the price that he is imposing on our country and much of the global economy, is based on fraud.
Fox News@FoxNews

NEW: President Trump says Americans will get a nuclear-free Iran in exchange for temporarily higher gas prices: "You know what they get for that? Iran without a nuclear weapon that's going to try and blow up one of our cities or blow up the entire Middle East."

@SportsCenter They don't need a WR. They added mooney and likely and Dart was just fine with a lot less last year. They need a CB or DT with 2nd rd pick end of discussion. Sure they can take flyer with a WR later but the 2nd has to be defense.

Probably need a trade down. But must come away with a DL. CB and OG with first 3 picks. They just signed edmunds who is similar to styles and have McFadden Coming back who was really good 2 years ago. I love downs but safety isn’t as big and issue as DL CB And OG. They signed Mooney and likely so receiver while not perfect has been addressed and dart did just fine with less last year.

Little more than 3 hours out. Give me your perfect night tonight if you’re a giants fan. Is it a trade down? Or is it sticking and picking. And which players would have you over the moon tonight as a Giants fan?

The most interesting scenario for the Giants tonight is if the top four picks are Francisco Mendoza, Arvell Reese/David Bailey, Jeremiyah Love and Sonny Styles. Would put the best player available philosophy to the test because there’s a strong chance Reese/Bailey would be the top player on the Giants’ board. Would they really invest another premium resource into an edge rusher? That scenario seems to align better for a trade with a team in need of a top edge rusher. Here are a few potential trades that could keep the Giants, who don’t have a third-round pick, in the top 10: • Trade the fifth pick to the Saints for the No. 8 pick, a third-round pick (No. 73) and a fourth-round pick (No. 132). • Trade the fifth pick to the Chiefs for the No. 9 pick, a second-round pick (No. 40) and a fourth-round pick (No. 109).
