@TopologicalBomb That's also a very good method, the lattice and the squashed bone are performing a very similar function

@Lofren Thank you for the suggestion! Unfortunately I couldnt get it to work. I instead am using a control bone that the eye bone is parented to to squash and position the eye. the eye still retains squash during rotation with this method. and then I need just a single damped track. 🙂

@TopologicalBomb You could try the lattice method, deform them with a lattice then rotate the eye with a bone, itll preserve the stylized shape but rotate like a sphere

@amahina3d If it has the same topology and number of vertices you can always use "join as shapes" then apply the shapekey

@ashyskyes_ Great work! I recommend you read up on the loops of the face, it'll help down the line, especially if you plan on animating this at all!
It's aimed at humans but it really applies to any face, including furries.

"It can't take that long to make a VTuber model."
Everything that you make for a VTuber has to be made from scratch
Most VTubers will ask for multiple hairstyles, clothing toggles, and accessories
You then have to texture the model and try your best to imitate the art style from some Gigachad 2D artists. The texturing process can often take longer than the modeling process
Rigging is another herculean task since, for the most part, Vtuber models are made to look good on Live2D, but some clothing styles they use are really difficult to rig in 3D
After that, you have to apply shaders and make sure the model works on multiple different 3D programs. VRM, Warudo, VRC etc
Face tracking and facial expressions are also a huge thing for VTuber models, and that too can take some time to make.
Of course, everything has to then be tested over and over so that we get minimal scuff on debut 🙏
All of this and many other smaller aspects have to be planned out from the start and balanced like a Jenga tower in order to make a Vtuber 3D model
Obviously I love what I do, and there is nothing more rewarding than seeing your client goof about in 3D. But it is hard work 💪
Also, we need more 3D modelers and tech artists. Please join in the trenches 😂🙏

@thetomska I'm a 3d modeller, my main focus is 3d characters but I have some experience with 3d enviroments, and could easily whip out some of these
(some of these have characters on the foreground but ignore them)

@sv4010 Nomad, but blender is free and while clunky at first, can do anything you want, and you get to mix boxmodelling and sculpting seamlessly
