@ashesgame One thing I'd love to see across this game would be more dynamic unit movement when you've got several groups of units following the same command etc.
The added fluidity would really make the combat look and feel better. On an individual squad basis they look fantastic!

A bit of half-asleep modelling this evening, hadn't done a real-tank in awhile so I eye-balled a Leopard 2 tank from a few reference images.
Technically not finished but I'll likely just leave it there. Proportions are off, as you'd expect from eye-balling a vehicle.
2-3 Hours-ish Mixed in with some game dev.

An RTS on a Steam Deck!?
I got @SteelCommandRTS running on my SteamDeck. Im surprised at how well its handling the terrain deformation and navmesh rebaking! There are still a lot of things that could use optimization, so it will be interesting to see how it performs on the SD when it's all said and done.
PS: We probably wont have controller support, but this is just a fun little experiment.

I'm going to go ahead and disagree.
If you've ever taught an art class, you quickly start to realize that some people just ain't it, not for lack of trying. Sure, you can train nearly anyone with enough effort. But often that effort includes remaking a person entirely.

Most art "talent" is just 10k+ hours of ugly warmup doodles and practice sheets that nobody sees, but potentially artistic individuals would rather doompost "i'm just not creative", "oh I wish I could draw", and doomscroll instead of sitting down for 30 minutes a day and accepting their sketchbook will look and feel like a crime scene for the first two-three years (event less for those who are determined). No one's born with talent, an affinity maybe. But that affinity does nothing if you don't train it.

@Skwerl_Art @NotFuji_ This, I’ve seen a guy who seems to be doing blender art for the Same amount of time as me, but they struggle to take any constructive comments on their art. They haven’t really improved in 4 years, which sucks to see.

gonna add that some people just do mindless/repetitive practice and that will go down as wasted time. There are so many artists out there who are just.....stuck there. Those who you see on social media are the ones selected by algorithm, those who actually made it. It is survivor bias....
