It would have snapped far before then, and the building would have fallen over, not straight down, and there would not be melted steel from jet fuel.

Nope. That’s not how it works buddy. You’ve seen plane crashes on land before I’m sure. Plane crashes on open ground…. Big explosion! An explosive fireball trailing with the momentum of the plane… and afterwards?… fire all along the crash site, everywhere. What’s burning? The rest of the jet fuel that didn’t ignite during the explosion. Now, in the case of the Towers. The planes hit the buildings full on. There was an explosion… blasted outwards from the point of impact as well as the direction of momentum of the plane. However, those explosions were not nearly as large as they would’ve been if they occurred in open area. The explosion occurred in confined reinforced space, and followed the path of least resistance, which was the sides of the building and not upwards or downwards, as it would normally do in an open space. The confines of the building limited the explosive reaction of the jet fuel ignition, meaning that there was a lot more leftover jet fuel to burn inside the building then if it would’ve occurred otherwise. In an addition, it created an oven of sorts, and with limited oxygen intake feeding the fire, only coming in from the blasted out sides of the building, and then what you have is an extremely hot but slow catalyst burning inferno. You know how wood burning ovens and smokers work right? It’s all about physics and pyrotechnics.
