I told Kieran Drew to stop almost everything he was doing for his health. - Keto. - Tracking HRV. - Cold plunges. - 17+ supplements. - Counting macros and calories. - Intermittent fasting + Training fasted. - Compound based weight-training. All of it. Gone. He thought I was out of my mind. He had 250,000 followers, a 7-figure business, and the most disciplined health routine of anyone I'd worked with. Yet.. It was destroying him. But when he came to me, his body was falling apart. Testosterone sub-400, waking at 3am wide-eyed every single night, exhausted by 2pm, and wired but can't sleep. The classic pattern I've now seen over 100 times. Here's the thing about Kieran. He wasn't ignoring his health. He was doing MORE on his health than 99% of men alive. Cold plunges daily, 17+ supplements, red light therapy, Oura ring tracking everything, Keto, Intermittent fasting 16:8, Biohacking conferences, and cutting-edge everything. He'd built a world-class business through discipline, systems, and relentless execution. So he applied the same approach to his body. More protocols, more data, more supplements, and more discipline. And guess what? ... It was destroying him. Here's what was actually happening inside his body: Kieran was waking at 3am wide-eyed. Cortisol already elevated from the early wake. Then coffee on an empty stomach. Another cortisol spike. Then fasted training at 6:30am. Third spike. His nervous system was in full sympathetic overdrive before sunrise. By the time his IF window opened at noon, his body had been running on cortisol and adrenaline for 7 hours straight. It thought he was in a famine. The 17+ supplements weren't filling gaps. They were creating new problems. His liver was working overtime trying to process synthetic isolates. Zinc was suppressing copper. Magnesium glycinate was creating digestive stress. Ashwagandha was quietly suppressing his thyroid. Melatonin had downregulated his own production. The cold plunges first thing in the morning. On a system already in sympathetic overdrive. He was dumping ice water on a fire alarm that was already screaming. The Oura ring was making it worse. Checking HRV at 3am. Low score. Now he's stressed about his stress. Adjusting his entire day around a number on a screen instead of listening to what his body had been trying to tell him for months. Every single protocol Kieran was following made perfect sense in isolation. Together they were a coordinated assault on his endocrine system. This is the pattern I see with high performers. They don't fail because they're lazy. They fail because they're sophisticated. The sophistication IS the problem. Kieran wasn't missing anything. He was drowning in everything. So here's what we did. We removed 14 of his 17+ supplements. Gone. The synthetic magnesium, the ashwagandha, the melatonin, the zinc isolate, the fish oil, the pre-workout. All of it. We stopped the cold plunges entirely. We killed fasted training. Kieran ate breakfast. 5 eggs, sweet potato, and some berries. At 8am. Before he did anything stressful. For the first time in 18 months, his body had fuel before it was asked to perform. We delayed coffee to 9am. Not before food. We added 20 minutes of morning sunlight. Not through a window. Outside. The free protocol that replaces half his supplement cabinet. We moved his second meal to 1-2pm. Front-loaded his calories when his metabolism was actually firing. We stopped checking the Oura ring. The first thing Kieran noticed. Within a week, the 2pm crash disappeared. Gone. Energy stable from morning to evening. That alone told him everything he needed to know. His body had been screaming for fuel and rest. He'd been giving it chemicals and stress. 16 weeks later? - Sleeping 7-8 hours uninterrupted. No more 3am wake-ups. - Testosterone: 380 → 780 ng/dL. More than doubled without TRT without a single testosterone-boosting supplement. - Energy: 5/10 → 9/10 without stimulants. His quote to me: "Less was the answer." Think about that. A man who built a 7-figure business through discipline and adding more... fixed his body by subtracting. Everything changed when we stopped adding and started removing. The supplements weren't filling deficiencies. They were creating dependencies. The fasted training wasn't building resilience. It was stacking cortisol. The cold plunges weren't increasing performance. They were frying an already fried system. The tracking wasn't generating insight. It was generating anxiety. Kieran's testosterone didn't go from 380 to 780 because we found the right protocol. It went from 380 to 780 because we removed the interference that was preventing his body from doing what it already knows how to do. Biology doesn't reward effort. It rewards order. Kieran's body was never broken. It was buried under protocols. The moment we cleared the interference, it rebuilt itself. If you're a high performer over 40 doing "everything right" and still declining... the answer probably isn't more. It's less. But the right less... Context beats protocol. Every time.

@theistinthought You don't have to forgive somebody for it, because you're not God. You can wish them well, but forgiveness and grace don't require that you marry them.

I think a reasonable person can hold these two views simultaneously: - God can forgive a person’s sexually promiscuous past. - I won’t marry someone with a sexually promiscuous past even if God has forgiven them for it. (I’m not saying you have to hold the second view; but it’s not unreasonable.)

So you mean to tell me, an airplane can go right through the World Trade Center that had steel structure beams of 4 inch plate every 40” using 12 different grades of steel with a yield strength of 100,000 psi but if the same plane were to run into a firetruck on a runway the plane is completely destroyed. Got it!

Republicans want to paint a horror story about Memphis to cover up the fact that they’re the reason crime shot up in the first place. When they passed the law to allow guns in cars to be stored unsafely without consequences, Memphis became #1 in the nation for guns stolen out of cars. Chattanooga became #2. That’s not an accident. Before that law was passed, Memphis had a couple hundred guns stolen out of cars a year—then it shot up to thousands. When we tried to put measures on the ballot to allow our city to keep guns out of the wrong hands and keep weapons of war off our streets, Speaker Cameron Sexton threatened to take away our sales taxes. The ballot measures passed by 80%. That’s NRA-card toting residents and non gun-owners alike. The legislature still insists that guns run rampant on our streets. Because they won’t let us rein in gun violence, I started a free gun lock program to ensure more guns were stored safely. In the two years since we started that program, guns stolen out of cars went down 25%. Violent crime also went down 25%. All before the national guard came. Yet Trump, Governor Bill Lee, and my opponent Senator Marsha Blackburn come into Memphis to say they’ve saved the day. No, Democrats like me found a way to take care of our community in SPITE of your asinine gun laws. Republicans don’t care if school shootings, gun violence, and accidental gun deaths continue. Democrats are the party who are doing the work to keep our communities safe. Those are the facts. 6 of the 10 safest states in the U.S. are led by Democratic governors. Maybe we should try something different.

@CraigBrockie This doesn't flush your liver. It does get your gall bladder moving, and if you're lucky you won't throw a stone too large to move through the bile duct and need emergency surgery.

Your liver is your body's built-in detox system. But when it gets overloaded with toxins, it leads to chronic pain, poor digestion, fatigue, and brain fog. Removing these toxins is crucial. This 24-hour liver flush can clear them out, naturally: 🧵

I have a friend who’s worth $8m at 31 years old He’s married with 2 kids And his wife has no clue they’re millionaires He says he’s the saver And she’s the spender So he’s terrified of what they’re monthly expenses would balloon into if his wife knew their financial situation What a brutal spot to be in Marry someone with the same values as you Who views money in a similar way to you Get on the same page with your spouse on your finances And attack the mission together Building wealth together is far more fulfilling than going at it alone

As a medical school professor, I taught that dementia was in many cases genetic and irreversible. I was wrong. A landmark JAMA study just followed 131,821 people for up to 43 YEARS and found: ☕ Caffeinated coffee: 18% lower dementia risk 🍵 Tea: 14% lower dementia risk ⚡ Total caffeine (top quartile): 22% lower risk The sweet spot? 2-3 cups of coffee or 1-2 cups of tea daily (~300mg caffeine). Here's what's critical: DECAF showed NO protection. That means it's the caffeine -- not the antioxidants alone -- driving neuroprotection. This held true regardless of APOE4 status, BMI, or smoking history. The metabolic connection? Caffeine improves insulin sensitivity, reduces neuroinflammation, and blocks adenosine-driven neurodegeneration -- all pathways rooted in metabolic dysfunction. This is exactly what I cover in Lies I Taught in Medical School -- the diseases we blamed on bad luck often trace back to metabolic root causes. Full breakdown coming on the Health Longevity Secrets podcast. Source: JAMA 2026;335(11):961-974 jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/… #Dementia #CoffeeBenefits #MetabolicHealth #BrainHealth #Longevity

Went to a client’s home today wearing my rosary. 📿 Client: "What’s that on your neck?" Me: "It’s a rosary." Client: "We don't allow such in our house." Me: "Say no more, let me just put it in the car..." 🏃🏾‍♂️ Fast forward: I’m currently at HOME on my sofa and she’s blowing up my phone. Since when did a cross become a security threat? Listen, even if I love money, this one has refused.

A husband wrapped his arms around his wife and started messing with her in bed hoping it would go further. The wife responds, “Not tonight babe, sometimes a woman just wants to be held, can’t you just hold me?” The next morning he asked her, “Hey, how’d you like to go shopping?” She didn’t hesitate, “Yes!” When they got to the mall he told her, “Pick out a couple outfits, a pair of shoes, and some diamond earrings” After she found the stuff she wanted, she held them up to show him and said, “Ok, let’s head to the register so you can pay for it” He replied, “I never said I was gonna pay for them, I just wanted you to hold them”
