After my first week at @unihh, I am even more excited than before. Lots of interesting chemistry, motivated students, welcoming colleagues and a super-team of supporters, especially in the IT. I can't wait to give my first lectures in "Hörsaal A" next week. 🦥

After more than 4 years abroad, I am going back to Germany to join @unihh as a lecturer of organic chemistry! I will miss Groningen immensely, but now it is time for something new!

A good start to the new year: I was awarded the Postdoc Prize 2024 of the Faculty of Science and Engineering in Groningen! Very happy to receive this award to recognize my achievements in the @RoelfesGroup ! Now, I am looking for a new adventure!

Another boron enzyme from my postdoc, this time with a new protein scaffold. Getting closer and closer to natural enzymes design with our own catalytic dyad! Thanks to all who contributed!

@Longlarf I would refer to this as a parallel kinetic resolution. Each enantiomer in this case goes to a unique product.

What would a reaction like this be called? Not really a deracemization, not really a desymmetrization, a double kinetic resolution?

Presenting my results from the @RoelfesGroup at #nordbioII in Stockholm. A great event so far, lots of interesting biocatalysis.

This month, an exciting paper has been published in @Nature from @RoelfesGroup, reporting the design of a boronic acid-integrating #enzyme that allows chiral #organocatalytic reactivity not achievable with natural or chemical catalysts. 1/3
