Ultimate Alien is objectively the peak of Ben 10’s popularity aside from Classic, I just think it should’ve done more to show off the Ultimate Aliens if they were gonna go that route. Like Heatblast and maybe Humongousaur/Ultimate Humongousaur.

@oldmedia Ben 10 Omiverse was honestly my favorite series however it would’ve been cool if it was actually a continuation from Ultimate Alien and the art style was not changed. Maybe more fans would’ve loved the series more instead of criticizing it.

@enigmoron @TeeHallums I will say that I agree that he can be over the top gargley and aggressive but tbh I’d rather have that than the dry delivery just because Goku is supposed to be pretty high energy.

@enigmoron @TeeHallums I think Nozawa’s ultimately more talented so I get what you mean. Personally, after going back rewatching most of the OG dub Goku just sounds to flat and monotone. He sounds more like he’s phoning his lines in then genuinely experiencing anything happening in front of him.

Which dub do you think did a better job at adapting its source material? I'm always surprised when I remember the Z dub added an entire speech. #DubAudit

@enigmoron @TeeHallums I don’t really think it’s overdone here. I feel like the OG Dub Goku doesn’t have that sense of urgency that he should have like he does in Kai. As funny as that meme is, it doesn’t really apply here in my opinion. People can talk dramatically when they’re desperate like in Kai.

That's how people talk in real life, it feels more natural to have a normal speaking voice most of the time rather than a theatrical constantly dynamic acting voice Again, the whole reason that breaking bad anime dub meme is a thing is because cartoons and anime have a tendency to overdo the expressiveness

@enigmoron @TeeHallums Sean sounds too much like he’s reading directly off he script in the OG dub. Mostly monotone with a hint of emotion whenever the line looks “sad.”
