📊🇨🇭Roggerio Nyakossi, data report ➡️ solid success rates, low action volumes, market opportunity driven + has a good number of shots, they seem to be from a mix of set pieces and open play, so maybe just noise, but maybe something since he's a bigger CB + the theme of his passing (and his entire profile) is that success rates exceed volume; it is really promising that he is super accurate going forwards and long, but he does so on a lower volume of attempts + duel rates the same... rarely engages in duels, but above average success rates on the ground and in the air; low volume isn't much of a concern here, it is more like a stylistic indicator, and there's plenty of evidence to support you'd actually prefer low action high success rate CBs oop, because they make fewer mistakes and often 'win' without needing to intervene - the concern with action volume is his passing... you just simply want to see a CB trusted with more volume (and these numbers are adjusted for OHL's 45% possession); almost all of the CBs that end up being above average ball players saw stupid volume at a young age because it was clear they could handle it - also a bit concerned with his lack of progressives and ball carrying... maybe a product of OHL's environment, but you'd expect a player linked to Liverpool and Chelsea to be stronger in these areas 💬 On the one hand, he's 22 years old, 6'4", a youth international captain, seems like a move won't be difficult to achieve, and does have some strong elements to his data profile... namely his success rates in key areas. On the other hand, the data in general is underwhelming considering the level he is at, and where he is rumored to be going. Eye test could tell an entirely different story, I won't pretend to have watched anything more than a few clips to prepare this, and there is also a good bit of data missing from this analysis as it is just one season and he could've lit the world on fire for Marseille B. Speaking of which, I believe they have a relatively inexpensive buyback clause in place. He's not a player I think gets this level of links if not for being a "market opportunity" (especially two clubs that ❤️ data like Liverpool and Chelsea), but they could also have very different data than what I see or have been tracking him since his youth days and formed opinions of him long ago. If he does make a move, and he is good, it will be in a Cristian Mosquera kind of way... low volume of actions but high success rates have turned out great players before, it is just a narrower bet than one with the success rates + high volume of passes.
