While you may have been on an Easter egg hunt on Sunday, one of our crews were cracking open a garage wall in a search for trapped fox cubs on Letchworth Road. All 3 were recovered safely with one given oxygen therapy, and then left with the RSPCA for treatment. Fantastic result!

@London_W4 This has been going on for years unfortunately in London, I used to work in Farringdon pre pandemic & it was going on then. Granted it's far worse now. As @rickygervais says

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PHONE OUT IN PUBLIC IN CENTRAL LONDON! Was stood waiting to cross the road at corner Marble Arch and Oxford Street just now and turned to see bloke on very fast electric bike heading up behind me. I turned and he turned away. I stood and watched as it was obvious what was going to happen next and sure enough, he snatched the phone of a young woman stood at the bus stop. Then off down Oxford Street for more. Face fully covered. If we had a police force in London this could easily be stopped, but instead, dozens of people a day have their lives made shit by these vermin. I’m in a shop writing this. Put your phone away on the streets. Take care. Be safe.

My mummy slept on her side without a big pillow in front of her, last night, for the first time in 2 weeks! I was able to get back in my usual place finally, being the little spoon! I purred so loudly I kept them awake for a bit.

@domdyer70 Gosh, I never knew this about Trevor, I met him a few times (& Sandra) when I helped The Fox Project with fostering fox cubs one year. Lovely guy. I always have the FP on speed dial in my phone to come to the aid of the injured ones in my neighbourhood.

He’s shared stages with Queen, Thin Lizzy and Genesis, but Trevor Williams is now a rockstar in a totally different field - wildlife rescue. What began as a hope to save a few foxes with £400 and a stack of leaflets is now one of the leading sanctuaries of its type in the south east, caring for around 1,500 of the animals every year. As the organisation marks 35 years, Dee Lukasik sat down with the founder to find out more... Rock guitarist Trevor Williams had formed a fascination with the animals in the 1970s as an anti-hunt activist, and in 1991, dismayed that local authorities were culling foxes as they increasingly moved into urban areas, he decided to make a stand. At the time, pest control contractors were often called in when residents complained about them digging up gardens, raiding bins, or living under sheds. Removing or killing the animals was seen as the quickest way to deal with complaints, even though new foxes would usually move into the same territory soon afterwards. “My argument was, you’re wasting your time and your money,” Mr Williams, now 81, told KentOnline.
