Honestly, I’d say this has probably been one of Rockstar’s toughest times. I just hope the higher-ups make the right call by reinstating the developers and working closely with the union to address any employee concerns.

(i.e bsky's own pds's) decided to call it quits even if the network survived the event it would massively decrease the user base because most people aren't nerds enough to use their own host or others. it atleast means you have your data, and avoids the big bandwidth requirements

bsky pds's are neat. it's letting you control your data without the burden of having to serve said data to 800 different homeservers. I can run it off a fairly low bandwidth server without issue. it's not true federation, sure. but let's be real if the biggest server hosts...

so far I've actually successfully been posting there now for realsies big progress

I moved to my own pds cause that sounded cool but still same username and so on honestly it has very little outward facing change
