Ford is increasing loans and cutting grants.
Ontario students are already choosing between rent and tuition. Now, Doug Ford is cutting OSAP, making education more expensive and out of reach.
This is why I am fighting to protect OSAP.
For Ford's conservatives, it's a budget line item. For young people, it's their future — and the future of Ontario.
We should protect Ontario's potential and take young people off the chopping block.

It’s World Autism Day, and @paulcalandra has chosen to starve special education, leaving students with special needs to fend for themselves.
When will he stop passing the buck and start funding schools properly so kids get the support they need to thrive?

At this rate, Conservatives are laying off so many educators, our schools may soon be run by kids.
331 teachers cut in Peel. Vice principals on watch. When will it end?
The Ontario Liberals are calling for 10,000 more qualified educators in schools across our province.

High gas prices resulting from the Iran war are easy to see, but you don't see how fertilizer prices are skyrocketing. Much of the nitrogen fertilizer used in Ontario is imported from the Middle East and Russia. Farmers will have very tough choices to make, and I think the Ontario Legislature isn't paying enough attention.
That's why I tried to get a committee to hear testimony from farmers and other stakeholders in the agri-food sector.

Primary care in Canada is supposed to be free — when you have a cough, sore throat, aches, or pains, you don’t get charged.
But in Ontario, over 2 million people don’t have a family doctor. They could be seeing a nurse practitioner, but Doug Ford and Sylvia Jones refuse to publicly fund that care so it’s free for patients, even after the federal government legally required them to.
Ontario Liberals believe you should pay with your OHIP card, not your credit card.

Ontario schools are already struggling. Now lead in the water puts kids, teachers, and staff at risk.
@paulcalandra, this is where your focus should be. Stop scaring teachers, start prioritizing safety.

@OntLiberal #onpoli

Ontarians are paying attention, @fordnation.
They see that education, affordability, and healthcare aren’t important to you—and they’re tired of paying the price.

Conservative MPPs voted against a motion to reverse cuts to #OSAP and eliminate interest on student loans. Students are already under enormous financial pressure & this gov't is making postsecondary education less accessible. Ontario students deserve support, not bigger debt.
