We’re raised to believe the man “carries the bloodline” because of his last name.
But biologically, that’s not how it works.
Mitochondrial DNA the part of you that powers every cell is passed only from your mother, unchanged, generation after generation and only a female can pass it forward.
So while names shift and change,
the only lineage that truly never breaks is a woman.

I used to be friends with Pashtun men in Karachi. I can assure you they had some next level double standards for their women. They’d chase girls, but their sisters never were out without a mehram or a full niqab. The amount of male ghaerat they instilled in women is unparalleled.

Human beings generally are polygamous in nature. Just as men may see and admire another woman, women also notice and admire men they find attractive.
However, most women choose to control or overlook those feelings, often influenced by personal values, commitment, religion beliefs and social norms.
That being said, in recent times women have multiple partners and they sleep with all of them….

I guess the answer here is for women to return to subsidizing the male lifestyle, which would not exist if women didn’t massively subsidize it by doing men’s cooking, cleaning, laundry, childcare, and all other manner of life organizing.

That's lovely! Most women in their 20s don't want to marry someone more than a few years older. Median age for first marriage for men is now over 30, for women, over 28. That's just for marriage, not for starting on kids, if we're coming from the starting point that studies show children of married parents fare best in life.

The real U.S. fertility story is the massive drop in fertility among women in their 20s. The birth rate for women in their 20s has fallen nearly 40% over the past two decades. This is the group that has carried the most weight in determining the direction of the overall fertility rate. As we all know, women's prime fertility window is in their 20s, not 30s or 40s. She wants to get married, not be a live-in girlfriend. She's hoping he will propose and he's not getting the hint. She's probably seen her friends get into the same situation (move in with a guy, make a financial investment, he still doesn't commit), and it didn't end well.
In the 80s, a few weeks before my dad proposed to my mom, he got orders to transfer from San Diego to Hawaii. He felt like he wasn't ready to get married, so he asked her to come to Hawaii and live with him. She said no (as she should have). He came back about 3 weeks later and asked her to marry him instead. She was 22. He was 23.
We've considerably weakened as a nation.

I always remember that Europeans’ class system works entirely differently than America’s. In America, we don’t really care how you made your wealth. You’ll see old money partying and hobnobbing with new money. Same neighborhoods and schools for their children.
