A bit late to this and didn't draw it, but I finally finished this little sculpt of Lord Eric.
Had a lot of fun figuring this one out, took a few liberties with some parts, but hope I did this awesome design justice.

As a newcommer (so correct me if I got anything wrong) the only legion that seems to take an aesthetic nosedive from 30k to 40k are the Iron hands.
The blue lenses and silver trim over black looks so much better, Id paint primaris like this, codex be damned.

Axel is an absolute menace in this game. All his lines are incredible. Probably the coolest line-up of villains the series ever had too

I was just thinking Chain of Memories' writing is really solid so far. Making it a more personal story that feeds on your memories of KH1 really makes it shine. The prose in general is very very good

@PillarOfWamuu @zerkarsonder Ok, I hate the longbow glaze as much as the next guy but those two statements just aren’t true.
Mongolian style recurve bows are smaller and have a lower max draw length and a smaller arrow, making it worse at penning armor. Crossbows have a long reload time.

The idea that longbows "changed medieval warfare" and "spelled the end of mounted knights" when they were invented thousands of years before plate armor is so funny lol

The British managed to convince the world that the middle point of the 100 years Wars was somehow the last battle we should care about. On one hand I respect the hustle, on the other Im tired of hearing about distorted versions of this battle.

@OakSentinel I took some liberties with the engravings, since I couldn't see them in detail in the original artwork.
But aside from a few minor details and the basic pose, I think it turned out decent considering I did it right after work.
I love Lord Raven's design.

@OakSentinel Saw the Raven Knight and wanted to do a dark piece where it blends into the background. Didn't know what the hell I was doing after the line art but it turned out better than I had hoped! Hopefully I was able to fool the eyes.. somewhat! 🤣
