Now that it has been proven beyond doubt that the Eisner's ownership model of #pompey has been completely debunked, what team should we have tried to emulate? Who is a good team owner?

@jason999potter The Wrexham boys realised that the investment was as both financial and emotional. Eisner’s was purely a business deal. Tornante are an investment vehicle, however the madness of football industry is totally at odds with his ‘cautious’ business approach.

@SonStats I doubt there'd be a queue of people lining up to buy Pompey, financially it's struggled all of my 52 years, yes we might go down, and yes we should have ambition, but I doubt there's too many out there who's going to invest. But you never know....

For anyone interested in how Championship away ticket prices compare, based on the highest Adult ticket price charged to Pompey fans over 20 games sold so far, it works out at an average of £31 per game.

@fraze1976 @dwright75 The Danny Baker archive channel has 12 Talk Radio episodes. The file I have has about 60. The website was called ‘twohundredpercent’. Not sure it still exists. There’s even Baker’s ‘last’ 606 from Nov 1992 in there as well as some midweek ones from 2009. A treasure trove.

@DickoPFC @pn_neil_allen That’s based on the £17m with the £9m for this season. The PST assessment of the accounts says “funding will exceed £10m and be heading toward £14m by the end of the season.” That puts the debt at £22m by the summer with the 3.6% interest being £792k p/a. 😳

@pn_neil_allen the interest on the £17m will be c£717k per annum at current interest rates. Just wanted to flag it as it’s not been mentioned in dispatches

Anyway, so there we have it in black and white. The sum total of the Eisner’s ‘ambition’ was £37m. And that’s our lot…
