🇬🇧 👀 Movsar Evloev vs Lerone Murphy: who wins? 1️⃣ Murphy is elite at turning aggression against aggressive opponents. That’s how he finished Amirkhani and Pico, and found success in most fights. Pico tried to close distance 6 times — 3 times he ate a knee. Basically, every second aggressive entry vs Murphy is a real KO or cut threat. 2️⃣ He has some of the best counter elbows in the UFC. KO’d Pico, landed clean on Emmett multiple times (cut him early), and also opened Ige up in round one. Long reach. 3️⃣ Murphy is one of the few strikers who doesn’t fade under wrestling pressure. No matter how much he’s grappled, he doesn’t slow down. Weaknesses: Gives up too much in grappling. Even Pico (before getting KO’d) created 5 clinch entries and 2 takedowns in 3 minutes. Emmett had multiple good wrestling moments — setting them up smartly — and Murphy never really countered. The issue was Emmett lacked control and volume. Against Murphy, you need consistent wrestling pressure. How can Evloev win? Everyone talks about his wrestling, but he’s also a very solid striker. He outstruck Allen for two rounds, dominated the second and even dropped him. On long and mid range, Evloev should at least be competitive. The real question is how he closes distance — avoiding knees/elbows and finding entries. Sometimes he forces takedowns and puts himself in danger. Allen figured out his entry in round 3, stuffed him, landed knees, and even threatened a choke. Evloev was out or 15 months, so let's see if he improved.

😤 Looks like Robert Whittaker will make his 205 lbs debut against Magomed Ankalaev. 👀 They both posted that they are fighting in July in Abu Dhabi, with Whittaker saying that he is moving up to Light Heavyweight.

🇬🇧 😬 It's amazing how poorly the UFC has managed such a valuable asset as Michael Page. He’s one of the few fighters who can put on a show even without finishing opponents. Page was a local star in Bellator, and his signing could have seriously boosted UK events. Instead, we see Michael being matched against Sam Patterson this week. And it’s only the third fight on the card—not even the co-main… Let me remind you: he beat Jared Cannonier, Shara Bullet, Kevin Holland. He even outstruck Ian Garry! Who else have you seen outstrike Garry? What was even the goal behind signing Michael Page to the UFC? Bad matchmaking.
