There’s a big difference between “complaining” and “identifying challenges.” The former does nothing but generate negativity. The latter is constructive, it leads to collaboration, and it builds stronger schools. I am grateful for colleagues who understand the difference.

At the end of the day-especially at carpool when I get to interact with all grade levels: “How was your day? ..What was the best part of your day?” It makes them actually think back on their day and celebrate big or small things. Bonus-I also get to know them a little more too!
