We are excited to announce our first Afternoon Anthropology lecture of the Fall 2024 semester! Dr. Mauri Systo will be presenting her exciting research on Monday, September 23rd in Old Main Academic Center. We hope to see you there!

Last week I had the opportunity to visit Concord Quarters in Natchez, MS where @MSUanth is doing a field school. Some of the lovely finds from the project are bricks with fingerprints of the makers, an intact sponge ware cup, and a silver hair locket. 1/2

So happy to announce that one of our wonderful grad students, Gabe Griffin, successfully defended his thesis today! He did an amazing job and we are all proud of him!

One of our wonderful Anthro majors, Karter Wilbert, applied for and received a Conservation Internship for Broadening Access (CIBA) with the National Musuem of the American Indian at the Smithsonian this summer! Congrats!!!
