@richthejoiner Should it be worded 'Council tax invitation'? If you don't pay it goes to court, if there's no choice then it's a demand unfortunately

Annual council tax bill . Pisses me rite off seeing the word Demand. Aggressive language and a shit service for the money too. Maybe, just Maybe "Here's your council tax charges for the services you receive " would make it more palatable. Demand, feel like fek off ask nicely

WHY THE FUCK IS DIESEL 25-30p DEARER THAN PETROL! Absolutely fucking ridiculous. I Remember when diesel was cheaper and everyone started buying diesel instead. Suddenly it became dearer than petrol, funny that isn’t it. Government and fuel suppliers are cunts!

@RodneySter935r @modernheroestv @philsbin @Fireblade_Jim Rodney you are clearly as thick as mince, what Mercedes car was it?? Actually, scrap that, you can't even spell Mercedes 👀😵‍💫 Don't think too hard today Roddy, it's Saturday, don't give yourself a headache babe x

@RodneySter935r @modernheroestv @philsbin @Fireblade_Jim I know what you told me. I asked what car the Mercedes was. MPG is not the same as miles per tank. I knew someone who though his new car was better than his old one because he could drive a bit further on a tank. He didn't understand the new tank was 1.5x bigger than the old one

@Fireblade_Jim @modernheroestv Diesel hasn't been cheaper than petrol since 1994. You've only been driving 20 years, but you can remember buying diesel cheaper than petrol when you were driving in 1994? OK champ 👀🫡

@modernheroestv Yes they did start buying diesels because they were cheaper to run and the fuel lasted longer. Then the government cottoned on to it, And no I’m not going way back in time either. I’ve only been driving for 20 so I know what I’m saying

@Fireblade_Jim @JEUninformed Why is it so important to be able to do it on one tank? You can't visit a fuel station? You dont want to stop for a drink or a toilet break?

@JEUninformed Find me a petrol or electric van that can go from Manchester to the south coast and back on one tank and I might be vaguely interested. Actually I’m not interested in electric so don’t bother

@modernheroestv @philsbin @Fireblade_Jim Way more efficient. I had a scirocco petrol TSI years ago and I got 180 miles a tank at its worst and about 230ish at its best, I then get a 2.2 mercesdes diesel and it got 400 miles a tank at its worst and 600+ on motorway driving.

@paullewismoney It won't even be £37 each. It'll only be for vulnerable people, low incomes etc....the majority will get nothing, while a few will get more than £37

Heating oil costs. England Councils will get share of £27m allocated only if at least 1% of homes only use heating oil for central heating (2021 Census). My calcs show 152 will share £27m between 729,829 heating oil users and 159 will get nothing for their 30,648 users.

@solisvogel @NetzerohomeUk @duncsand Typical house usage is 8-10kWh per day, call it 10, saving £2.90 per day, so a £4k battery install has a 3.7year pay back time, saving just over £1k a year. In year 4 onwards you're making £1k a year at current prices.

@MachLoopWales @duncsand You can buy a 10kwh battery for £1500 Inverter for £700 or so Installation for £1200 This is the quote I have. Less than half of what you suggested.

@LateBrakeShow If you can charge at home (now only 3.5p per unit overnight on some tariffs) then 1000 miles of driving will cost around £10 of electricity vs £165 petrol at 40mpg. Much cheaper servicing, tyres last longer, brakes last longer, instant power, quiet, smooth, lots of driver aids

EV drivers having to pay 3p per mile in a few years.....the price of petrol has risen 3p this week, if a petrol car does 40mpg, thats 9 miles per litre, so it's already up by 0.3p per mile......that'll soon creep up to nearer 1p per mile @autopap @LateBrakeShow

@jamesfooker1 @LateBrakeShow Swap back from what to what? My point was that the 3p per mile EV charge won't be much different to the increase in petrol costs, so will be insignificant

@Helen_Whately Those children becone adults, the majority will become taxpayers, paying in more than they cost as children. It's a business model

You don’t get a pay rise from your employer when you have another child. But Labour MPs think people on benefits should get ££££ from taxpayers for every child they have. Hear them cheer at spending billions more on benefits when it’s unfair & the country can’t afford it.
