My iPhone just updated itself. I keep turning this off then get endless messages to update it and an irritating red circle on the screen. Now this has appeared. Since when is it law to prove your age to use your own phone???? Way beyond your remit now @GOVUK

@NoToDigitalID It already requires that you provide ID even as an adult, so it's essentially already there.

Libertarianism is a lie. A 19 year old with $40,000 in student debt, addicted to pornography, gambling his pittance wage on draftkings, eating ultra-processed slop laced with additives, with no vocational skills, no family stability, no community, and no cultural framework for meaning is not "free". He is comprehensively captured by systems specifically engineered to exploit him.

@demsocjohnbrown @tigerjvideo Most of my salary actully depends on the opposite. I'd say you're the one ignoring the established patterns of wealth and power and how they actually function, which is almost exclusively through the state.

@demsocjohnbrown @tigerjvideo Losing your next $10 also becomes easier the more you have, and without the state to steal it, that happens faster than the ease of making your next $10. I have no problem with someone having more money than me. I would also love to have more myself.

@demsocjohnbrown @tigerjvideo It's not moneyless. If there is time involved in human action there will always be some form of money. That's one of many mistakes that communists make. But sure, communists often dream about the trappings of a free society when they imagine their utopia and then work backwards.
