This entire even could have been avoided if only the off duty officer hit the brakes when this guy was trying to get over. There was roadwork up ahead and dude was trying to change lanes. I get it. No blinker, driving aggressive, feeling entitled, ect. Even with all that, the officer could have simply slowed down and let him over. Would that be any skin off his back? To be a better person and not engage? Especially a Police officer. I know I know he had every right to get angry. That is the point. To not fall for it. To not let his ego dictate his actions. I will never understand that type of mentality. Your not less of a man if you back down from a situation like this. You are a better man for wanting to at least try and de-escalate the situation. Unless this cop is a full retard, he had to have know that the upcoming lane was closed and dude not just wanted, buy needed to get over. Look what happened. Was it worth it?

NEW: Family of a Milwaukee man who was shot & k*lled by an off-duty police officer admits the action was justified after seeing the dashcam recording. Elijah Wilks was shot after he ran his car into the off-duty officer and pistol-whipped him when they pulled over. Family and friends initially claimed that the police were lying about their account of events; however, bodycam footage proved the police account was completely accurate. "No, they are not telling the truth. The story they posted is not the truth. Not the truth at all. Not the truth at all," a family friend tried claiming. Since the dashcam has been released, the family admits that the action from the off-duty officer was justified.
