Users in Brazil are facing connectivity issues with MiSTer updaters and GitHub raw content servers in general. Many requests return HTTP 429 errors. For now, the only workaround is to use a VPN. Otherwise you'll have to wait for GitHub to fix the issue.

@TakiUdon_ The concern is that it is taking so long to launch because when it does come out it will already be obsolete. 🤕

The Shenzhen branch of Retro Remake turned 1 today. Employee #1 joined on November 5th. Today, there are 15 people that work at the company not including me. It's a big change.

@topapate Wouldn't there be more interesting games to dedicate yourself to than a game of golf that few people care about?!?

Golfing Greats is a Konami title that has not been successfully emulated yet. I managed to acquire the schematics and a PCB for it. The sound emulation should be fine for next MAME release after fixing it for differences with the schematics. The #MiSTerFPGA core is coming up too!

@MameHaze I would love to see this version of Kung fu Master 2 running on MAME. 💓🕹️

I've been improving the protection simulation in Beyond Kung Fu (the unreleased Kung Fu Master sequel) The HUD elements now show and animate. Background data is still not decrypted however, and might still be a hopeless case with an MCU dump that's never going to happen.

The sprites are coming together. This little system is way more complex than the Ninja Gaiden one. We found out that the MCU inside a custom chip has a different instruction set than the expected. We suddenly got a lot of extra work to support that.

@topapate But what we see is that the recreation in FPGA is 50% of the work and there is another 50% to emulate before it is ready, this takes away the magic of having a game working 100% natively!

@topapate I would really like to understand why, after all the work of recreating a game's board in FPGA, shouldn't the game already be ready and working?

I wonder whether the same way we make modern reconstructions of antiquity items, people will use all the information we are producing to re-build some of these arcades in future centuries...
