It was a great opportunity for our lab to showcase some of our exciting research on the neuro-immune axis and its role in regeneration. Grateful for the Minister’s visit and the recognition of the importance of biomedical research!

Last week our Minister for Health, The Hon. @MaryAnneThomas toured @ARMILabs, witnessing some incredible regenerative medicine. She was "blown away" by our #stemcell research - from #embryonic development to #woundhealing & preventing #bloodcancers. 🩺We're grateful for the Minister's recognition of the importance of continued investment in medical research. I am very happy to announce the publication of my main PhD project in @NatureComms . Our study demonstrates that Regulatory T cells (Tregs) play a crucial role in promoting cardiac repair following myocardial infarction (heart attack) by adopting an injury-specific phenotype.

in response to tissue injury. CGRP acts on immune cells to foster a pro-healing environment. These actions are mediated by the autocrine/paracrine actions of secreted TSP-1 from immune cells and ultimately promote healing after skin and muscle injuries. This research sheds (2/3)
