But how often can you expect to three putt? After we review the data, there is a putting game you can use to benchmark your skills. THE DATA ⛳️⛳️⛳️⛳️⛳️ Three-putt % from 35 feet: ➡️Tour pro: ~7% ➡️0 index: ~23% ➡️5 index: ~30% ➡️10 index: ~35 ➡️15 index: ~40% ➡️20 index: ~46% Three-putt % from 25 feet: ➡️Tour pro: ~3% ➡️0 index: ~11% ➡️5 index: ~16% ➡️10 index: ~19% ➡️15 index: ~23% ➡️20 index: ~27% Next time you take three putts from 35 feet, don't beat yourself up, even scratch players three-wiggle nearly one of out every four times from that distance. Look how good tour pros are! 🤯 Speed control is the absolute key. 🗝️ ⛳️⛳️⛳️⛳️⛳️ 10 HOLE PUTTING BENCHMARK GAME Here is a simple putting game you can play on the practice green. ➡️ You will play "10 holes" on the practice green. ➡️ Pick a new starting location and different hole each time. ➡️ After you hit your first putt, continue putting until you hole out. ➡️ Go through your entire routine for ALL putts. ➡️ These are the starting distances for each first putt. Complete them in this order: 1. 20 feet 2. 35 feet 3. 25 feet 4. 40 feet 5. 30 feet 6. 20 feet 7. 35 feet 8. 25 feet 9. 40 feet 10. 30 feet HOW TO SCORE ⛳️⛳️⛳️⛳️⛳️ Keep track of your total putts across all 10 holes. Your goal is to beat the benchmark for your target handicap. TARGET BENCHMARK ⛳️⛳️⛳️⛳️⛳️ ➡️0 index: 20.86 putts ➡️5 index: 21.76 ➡️10 index: 22.42 ➡️15 index: 23.10 ➡️20 index: 23.74 For example, say you are benchmarking yourself against a 10 index... If you take 21 total putts to complete the 10 hole benchmark, you are gaining 1.42 strokes with your putting. 22.42 - 21 = 1.42 If you take 23 total putts, you would be losing -0.58 strokes. 22.42 - 23 = -0.58 Play this game every time you practice.
