@RockChalkBlog I think Stokes is more of a showman then any one and dones we have had

KU feels like a slam-dunk preseason top 10 team and it seems like the fanbase is really sleeping on the roster. Think Bill Self has quietly put together a really solid team after a quiet start to the portal. If Stokes is a true alpha, this squad will go really far.

@ScottGustin It is a slippery slope, there may be for Cool Kids Summer more characters roaming around, but it is a matter of time before that gets cut too.

IMO, the change makes sense, especially with most guests using that time to head straight to attractions. And if it means we’ll see more characters roaming and appearing elsewhere in the park, I’m all for it. We'll see how it goes.

The Magic Kingdom “Let the Magic Begin” welcome show will remain audio-only moving forward. The change was introduced earlier this year during Cinderella Castle painting work. And starting Sunday, Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire adds a morning performance at 11:10 am.

@DisTouristBlog Sometimes at both MK and DHS. I feel the parks are soulless compared to the past. Like they are parks that operate without the human interaction of entertainment in the parks. With how Disney and corporations in general operate in today’s age, I don’t see it getting better.

California Grill's kids prix-fixe goes from $39 to $42 per child starting June 2, 2026. Adult pricing stays at $99. The $3 increase applies to ages 3-9.

@wdwmagic Honestly, the prix-fixe menu is what prevents me from going. I am not a fan when I am forced to pay for say a dessert, when usually I don’t want one. That said, still one of my favorite restaurants. It is too bad this type of menu has prevented me from going more often.

@DisneyFoodBlog It has the best Disney vibe for someone who has never been on a budget. Great transportation with the Skyliner. That said, for a value resort it is more pricey.

@Blog_Mickey Those marginal advantages will make it still feel and be complicated for the inexperienced park goer.

@Blog_Mickey The thing is, a veteran park-goer will always have an advantage over someone relying on AI. AI can give suggestions, but the user still has to evaluate them. A veteran already knows what to do from experience. Thus, the inexperienced person will still be a step behind.

@OrangeGrove55 I am not a fan of paying with cash. I also dislike when businesses only accept cash or say the Cash App. I guess I extremely dislike limiting yourself as a business to not accept multiple forms of payment.

D’Amaro says he is focussed on life-time value of a guest. This comment is like night and day from what we experienced from management say 8 years ago, where the business model seemed to just churn through a revolving door of first time Parks guests.

@ScottGustin The less interaction with humans, the harder it is to plan and book trips. If solely reliant on AI, a first timer would be even more confused.

@ACal8971 @DamnSnyder @FsuTHC4 Chilling around the World Showcase at Epcot, Animal Kingdom (which is insanely detailed), resort lounges. Usually, go to a fine dining restaurant for dinner (100s on property). Pretty much avoid MK and DHS because it is too IP focused unless going with someone that wants to go.

If you think Disney is all about kids, you’re doing it wrong. I cannot speak for DL (never been) but as for WDW: Epcot has 4 different “Festivals” throughout the year that offer food and drink that most kids would push away HS. Half of the park is dedicated to films that came out 30-50 years ago. Not exactly branding to children. AK. Who doesn’t love animals? Seriously. MK is for nostalgia. Oh and the resorts. Some of the best bars and restaurants

@OdysseyJurassic Or crazy to think that the kids may ask their likely also clueless parents what is that. Their clueless parents will then ChatGPT it and everyone will do something that is unthinkable and learn some Disney history.
